MISSISSIPPI LATE TERM ABORTION CASE
The Supreme Court was scheduled today (Dec. 11) to take up the Mississippi ban on late term abortion. If you have signed The Moral Outcry Petition, you are one of the 336,214 signers that we represented through Melinda Thybault (TMO Founder) acting on your behalf, in a brief that is one of a limited number of Briefs currently at the Supreme Court in the Mississippi abortion case at the cert petition phase. The Supreme Court rescheduled the consideration of whether to take the Mississippi case for oral argument next year until January 8, 2021, at the earliest. This is great news. The case is still alive and has been since September 29, 2020. Cert is usually denied and the law would be declared unconstitutional. So please keep the Court in your prayers and that the Court will read The Moral Outcry and the Operation Outcry Women's Brief that we filed in this case.
PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
The Supreme Court is currently considering the Presidential election case, today and over the weekend probably. Here is the Motion To Intervene that The Justice Foundation has filed in the case. We represent 12 members in the Michigan legislature, 4 members of the Pennsylvania legislature and five regular voters who feel that the actions of Michigan non-legislative actors, and Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Wisconsin violated the Presidential Electors Clause of the Constitution. The Table of Contents will explain to you why it is a question of law as to whether or not people who are not members of the legislature have changed the rules as to who will be a Presidential Elector.
