The Washington County school district received the largest grant in the state from the Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services School Violence Prevention Program. This is outstanding news for the school district. The funding will bring updated safety features that will better serve students and faculty. You can read the full story here.
This month marks the second anniversary of Hurricane Michael. As we take a moment to remember the effects of the storm, we should also reflect on the steady progress we’ve made since the hurricane. A day-long event will be held in Calhoun County to celebrate a new airport in Altha being built to replace the one destroyed by that storm. You can read the full story here.
