GOOD NEWS FROM THE SECOND DISTRICTDear friend, Happy Friday! We’ve made it another week and there’s plenty of good news to share. Here are a few to help kickstart your weekend: Linemen from our district are traveling far and wide to ensure that power is restored to many states impacted by the recent storms. This week, our linemen in Louisiana were treated to a “thank you” lunch for their hard work and long travel. Keep up the great work! You can read the full story here.
Washington County, along with many other affected areas in Florida, received FEMA funding for emergency work and permanent repairs following Hurricane Michael. The funding totaled more than $104.7 million for Florida. You can read the full article here.
Mobile mechanics Shawn Stevens and Jeffrey Webb saved a trucker’s life last week. The two brave men came across an overturned trailer billowing smoke and quickly sprang into action. Had the two been there a minute later, the trucker would likely have not made it. Well done, Shawn and Jeffrey! You can read the full story here.
