Last year, Senator Rick Scott was proud to co-sponsor the National Suicide Hotline Designation Act of 2020 (S. 2661), a bipartisan bill that designates 9-8-8 as the national suicide prevention and mental health crisis hotline.This legislation will eliminate a tremendous barrier to those Americans in crisis seeking support. This bill passed out of the U.S. Senate and is currently waiting for passage in the U.S. House of Representatives.
