Think LOCAL
For those of you who are informed about what is going on regarding this so-called “Covid-19 Pandemic,” this message is to help us start preparing for the future. But not just preparing for our own survival in view of the present and future draconian conditions with increasingly severe limitations on our freedoms and rights, but with preparation to start ministering to other folks needing fellowship and support. We need to have a broader vision.
There will be those living nearby you that you may already know or not, but who have not bought into the fear-mongering media and government narrative. We will need to come together for mutual support. Let me briefly outline a few areas of support.
Provision Support
Of priority for survival is water and real food. Water and food supplies should be adequate for at least six months. There are a lot of prepper sites online and perhaps store outlets near you to obtain more information. Also, there may be co-ops of local farms and ranches that can offer food for purchase or barter.
The key factor for local like-minded People and families is organization and preparation. We need a plan to help each other with basic needs. Begin to prepare now! Come September, options may be limited or non-existent.
Next priority is provision of skills to offer each other locally. Every skill that may be needed is an important skill in order to become a self-sufficient community. Do you know how to build, farm, cook, do home repairs, mechanics, plumbing, computer tech, basic first aid, more advanced natural health care, teaching, and so forth. Everybody has something to offer.
Protection Support
Need I say more? If we are to survive the coming days, forget standing alone unless you have no choice. We must have a plan locally to give protection from those who plan to implement forced testing of any kind, quarantine, removing children from their parents home, or worse. Use of force to protect and deter threats to life, health and family may be necessary although a last resort. We need to know how to handle a weapons and training to know how to engage if unavoidably threatened.
While personal skill in this area is important, it is a coordinated plan of local folks to protect each other that should be considered. Otherwise, we are just sitting ducks ready to be picked off. We must be ready to spring into action at any time to rise to the defense of those who are threatened and need help. There is strength in numbers. And local government and local law enforcement need to know in advance of our intention to protect ourselves should they get any wise ideas of aiding and abetting those nefarious characters who want to do harm. You need to know where your civil leaders stand and that they will be held accountable. We must teach them about what is going on. (I discuss the role of the local church assembly in respect to government in The Kingdom of God Manifested, Chapter 12)
Providential Support
The above is about the practical side of things during these times. But we also must keep this in the forefront of our minds and hearts:
Unless the LORD builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the LORD guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain. (Psalm 127:1)
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the LORD guards the city,
The watchman keeps awake in vain. (Psalm 127:1)
Our struggle against the principalities and powers who are in control and on the side of falsehood and lawlessness is not one of flesh and blood. (I discuss the role of the local church assembly in respect to government in The Kingdom of God Manifested, Chapters 18 and 19) We would rather not have to engage in physical force unless absolutely necessary in self-defense.
Our real protection is from the Lord our God. We must acknowledge and ask for that divine shield about us. And when was the last time you read Psalm 91?
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
My God, in whom I trust!”
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
You will not be afraid of the terror by night,
Or of the arrow that flies by day;
Or of the arrow that flies by day;
Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But it shall not approach you.
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But it shall not approach you.
You will only look on with your eyes
And see the recompense of the wicked.
And see the recompense of the wicked.
For you have made the LORD, my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.
Nor will any plague come near your tent.
For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.
To guard you in all your ways.
They will bear you up in their hands,
That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.
The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.
Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.
I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.
He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
With a long life I will satisfy him
And let him see My salvation.
And let him see My salvation.
We need that reminder daily! Read it out loud. Let it sink in.
Of course, we need regular fellowship locally around the Word – together. That could take place in homes like they did in the first century. Pray for one another. Encourage each other. Pray together for your local area and for those occupying places of civil authority. Great changes could take place just because of your presence and interaction with them. Let them know about your concerns. Let them know you pray for them to be godly stewards. Teach them. Opportunities are at hand!
I leave you with this message from investigative journalist, Jon Rappoport, in one of his recent blogs:
Don't blithely assume the economy is reopening and things will continue to improve. The nation is under the control of public health traitors. They can declare "new waves" of cases. They can invent pretexts at the drop of a hat, and governors and mayors can declare lockdowns again. This is not over. The economic war against the people is being waged to destroy America.
Prepare!
