Church Forgives Sins of Those Stricken by Virus.

Vatican City (AFP) - The Roman Catholic Church on Friday granted forgiveness -- under certain conditions -- for the sins of the faithful struck by the Novel Coronavirus.
A decree published by the Vatican also covers healthcare workers and those who pray for their wellbeing. Relatives who care for their sick family members may also be forgiven.
The conditions include the sick saying a certain number of prayers or following important celebrations from a distance.
Those who pray for the caregivers' wellbeing must also read the Bible "for at least half an hour".
The decree was issued one day after Italy overtook China for the most number of deaths from the new illness.
Vatican City itself has confirmed one infection.
Pope Francis was reported to have been tested for the virus as a precaution after coming down with a cold last month.

The ongoing coronavirus outbreak is sending cascading waves of fear across the entire Prosperity Gospel movement, as the spectre of unemployed followers who will not be able to sustain these Charismatic phonies in their luxury lifestyles is much too painful a prospect for them to contemplate.
Yes, Old Demon Eyes himself, Kenneth Copeland, is beside himself with fear - and be forewarned, he is really, really mad at unemployed, coronavirus quarantined Christians.

End Times Heretic, divorcee and adulterer Paula White is asking you to sow A 'Psalm 91 Seed' And Send Her $91 Dollars so she can start a fake Coronavirus Hospital!
Paula White, the evangelical pastor and spiritual adviser to President Donald Trump, says her ministry is like a hospital and is asking people to send her money for it. Except it’s not a real hospital.
False teacher Paula White has a long and chequered history of taking bible teachings and twisting them into getting you to 'sow a seed' to her bank account.
It must work, because last time I checked she is a multimillionaire living in lavish mansions. Readers will recall her horrific 'Lazarus Seed' heresy based on John 11:44 and the raising of Lazarus. Ugh.
"He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee." Psalm 91:4-7 (
Psalm 91 doctrinally is a beautiful promise to the Jews and the nation of Israel of God's protection during the time of Jacob's trouble, and in the great Tribulation specifically.
FROM THE HUFFINGTON POST: “We are a hospital to the sick,” Paula White said over piano music during an online Coronavirus prayer session, quickly adding that it’s for “not necessarily the physically sick. We are a hospital for those who are soul-sick, those who are spiritually sick,” she said.
Paula White, who leads Trump’s Faith and Opportunity Initiative, then asked followers for “seed” money. For those who espouse the so-called prosperity gospel, that typically means giving money in the belief that some form of larger prosperity will then be returned to the giver.
“Maybe you’d like to send a $91 seed, and that’s just putting your faith with Psalm 91,” she said. “That psalm refers to being saved from “deadly pestilence” and “plague.”
Paula White also suggested sending $9 or “whatever God tells you to do,” adding: “Don’t forget, now is not the time to abandon your covenant with God. It’s a time that you go deeper”. [into your pocket no doubt?]
When Religious Leaders Are Wrong……..

I remember reading a Parade magazine article in the ‘90’s, an interview with the late Bishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa. Tutu has always been a left-wing political operative, operating from within the Church.
Among other things, he has always identified with the “Palestinian struggle” and every other left-wing, Marxist agenda. In this particular interview, the writer asked Tutu a simple question: Where does evil come from?
The answer was astounding; “I don’t know”.
He doesn’t know? A member of the clergy doesn’t have any idea where evil comes from? His non-answer answer still rings in my ears. It reminds me of a statement I once read from a Sumerian cuneiform tablet.
This would have been about 1500 years before Christ. An anonymous scribe wrote a plaintive query: “Whence come the evil things everywhere?”
This poor man, struggling to understand evil, had been ill-served by the pagan mystics that dominated that part of the world.
Today, the whole world is on the verge of panic due to the Coronavirus. Sadly, whether it is celebrity Evangelical “leaders” in the U.S., or foreign clergy, we have seen no real leadership on the issue. Small-town pastors are dispensing wisdom on social media, but their reach is limited.
This week, the Vatican issued a statement on the Pope’s activities as we navigate the streets and alleys of this potentially killer virus/plague:
“This afternoon, just after 4 PM, Pope Francis left the Vatican and made a private visit to the Basilica of St. Mary Major, to offer a prayer to the Virgin Mary, Salus Populi Romani, where her icon is kept and venerated.”
The statement went on to say that the Pope then visited a small church nearby, where a crucifix that was used to “pray away” the 1522 plague is housed.
Why would the Pope do these things? At such a sensitive time, the world is looking for spiritual comfort, even if they are pagans with little to no understanding of the Creator God.
Instead, Pope Francis (the first non-European pope in history; he is from South America) prayed to a dead human, then prayed before a religious relic. This is no different than a shaman or other religious mystics that practice a dead religion that has no power to save, physically or spiritually.
