Conservatives, THIS THURSDAY (Tomorrow!), House Democrats will attempt to revive the long-dead Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) with a view to cementing abortion into our Constitution. And, even though President Trump's Office of Legal Counsel issued an opinion in January declaring efforts to revive the ERA invalid, House Democrats are, nevertheless, proceeding with a vote. For these reasons, we are asking you to both SIGN this petition, asking Congress to defeat this bill, and CONTACT both Democratic and Republican leadership in the House, to politely express your opposition to the same.

Staunch promoter of abortion, NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League) thinks the ERA will enshrine abortion in American law, stating that: "In order to protect our reproductive freedom today, it's essential we pass the newly re-introduced bill to ratify the ERA. With its ratification, the ERA would reinforce the constitutional right to abortion by clarifying that the sexes have equal rights, which would require judges to strike down anti-abortion laws..."
