"We have a problem with sanctuary cities who are harboring so many of these violent, vicious criminals — literally harboring from ICE and the opportunity to deport them and get them out of these communities and our country,” Ken Cuccinelli, the acting Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, said.
Local newspapers have slammed community leaders and school officials that choose to protect violent illegal immigrants . They point out that the MS-13 attackers are adult men and so-called dreamers. “The police and the high school need to protect our children. Can you imagine sending your 14-year old freshman to a school with 20-year old gang members? Even after the school identifies the adult men as members of a murder gang?"
Prince George’s County, where the Riverdale middle school is located, provides sanctuary for illegal immigrants and defies federal requests to hold illegal aliens arrested for state crimes until immigration agents pick them up.
The suspects in this case should have been turned over to federal authorities long ago, but like a growing number of municipalities, Baltimore County offers illegal aliens sanctuary.
