Michigan Senate race is heating up, poll shows GOP close, Democrats ramp up attacks

We told you about the latest poll in Michigan showing GOP combat veteran John James tied with incumbent Democrat Gary Peters.
Now comes news that Peters is getting early support from a dark money progressive "veterans" group.
VoteVets stepped into Michigan with a large ad buy for the Democrat and false attacks on John James.
Here is a reminder of John James career:
- Graduated from West Point
- Flew Apache helicopters in Iraq
- Became CEO of family business
- Created hundreds of jobs in his community
VoteVets doesn't want voters to know the truth about James.
But here's the truth about VoteVets.
They call themselves a veterans group. But here is the issues they most care about:
- Climate Change
- Supporting Undocumented Immigrants
- Social Justice
- Removing the President from Office
In fact Michael Bloomberg is the largest donor to VoteVets, giving millions to this progressive group.

There's no doubt Michigan will be a key state in both the Presidential election and for Senate.
That's why VoteVets is not only attacking John James but laying the ground work to help the Democrat Presidential candidate.
VoteVets is running millions in advertising attempting to sway public opinion on impeachment and removing President Trump.
It's worth noting that polls in swing states like Michigan show lower support for impeachment.
Voters in these states want Congress and the Senate to actually work for them!
That means it's key right now to show that Democrat Peters is more interested in impeaching the President than doing his job as Senator.
John James built a career in the military and in the private sector while Peters collected a taxpayer funded paycheck to accomplish nothing.
