Limbaugh Reveals What Mitt Romney Told Nancy Pelosi In Secret

September 28, 2019

When Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced this week that the House would begin a formal impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, many weren’t surprised that Democrats were taking this extreme action.
Most Americans likely thought the same thing — Democrats may pass it in the House of Representatives, but it will fail in the Republican-controlled U.S. Senate.
But according to conservative talk radio show host Rush Limbaugh, one Never-Trumper senator has been speaking with Pelosi in secret about impeaching Trump.
During a segment on his radio program, Limbaugh said Utah GOP Sen. Mitt Romney told Pelosi that enough Senate Republicans would break ranks to remove Trump from office.
Limbaugh declared that “yesterday and today Sen. Mitt Romney, Republican, Utah, had phone calls or meetings, whatever, with Pelosi and assured her there was sufficient Republican support to remove Trump.”  Limbaugh also noted how he believes Romney has been desperately waiting for the “right time” to “get rid of Trump.”
“I don’t think that means that Romney has enough Republicans to actually convict,” Limbaugh added. “Romney is just staking a claim to a political position. Romney thinks it’s in his best political interests for everybody to think he hates Trump. That’s how he thinks he’s going to politically benefit, whatever his next ambitions are,” he continued.
Romney has been a vocal Republican critic of Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.  Democrats and the media have been going ballistic over Trump’s call with Zelensky, where the so-called “whistleblower” alleges potential illegal actions took place.
On this call, Trump reportedly asked the Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, over shady business dealings with a Ukrainian gas company.
This week, the White House released a 5-page transcript of the call, which does not mention anything about “quid pro quo” or the U.S. withholding aid to Ukraine if they did not investigate Biden.
The Department of Justice also announced on Tuesday evening that it opted not to investigate Trump over the phone call.
The Office of Intelligence Community Inspector General found that the “whistleblower” had a “political bias” in favor of one of Trump’s rivals in the 2020 presidential election.
And, adding even more fuel to the fire, the whistleblower who filed the complaint did not even hear the phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president.
In other words, the whistleblower filed a complaint about a call that they never heard, and Democrats want Trump impeached over a call that they also never heard.
One Republican has already publicly announced they support congressional Democrats’ impeachment inquiry against Trump.
Another Republican claims 30 Republican senators would vote to impeach Trump.
