PETITION - NAT'L RIGHT TO WORK COMMITTEE 09/12/2019

National Right To Work Committee

Dear Conservatives,

It’s just common sense: Union thugs should not be able to get away with crimes for which ordinary Americans would be sentenced to prison.

But that’s exactly what’s happening in America today.

In fact, thousands of acts of union violence go unpunished due to a loophole in federal law carved out for Big Labor.

The good news is, Congressman Francis Rooney introduced the Freedom from Union Violence Act this week to close this loophole.

You see, at the federal level, extortion is prosecuted under the 1946 Hobbs Act, which makes violent extortion a federal crime.

But in the infamous 1973 United States Supreme Court Enmons ruling, union militants were granted an exemption from prosecution when violence is committed in pursuit of so-called “legitimate union objectives.”

As a result, experts on labor and strike-related violence estimate that acts of harassment, vandalism and violence could total 100,000 or more.

These outrageous acts of violence are exactly why opponents of forced unionism must push for a roll-call vote on the Freedom from Union Violence Act in Congress.

You see, because in Enmons the High Court was interpreting statutes passed by Congress, Congress has the power to close this outrageous loophole.

So I would like to ask you to please sign a petition to your U.S. Congressman and Senators to cosponsor and seek roll-call votes on the Freedom from Union Violence Act right away.

You see, union bosses will not easily give up one of their most powerful organizing tools -- violence.

That’s why I need your help at once by signing your petition immediately.

Will you please sign a petition to your U.S. Congressman and Senators in favor of the Freedom from Union Violence Act without delay?

Sincerely,

Mark Mix, President
National Right to Work

P.S. Congressman Francis Rooney has introduced the Freedom from Union Violence Act, which would close an outrageous loophole in federal law that allows thousands of acts of union violence go unpunished.

So please, sign this petition demanding that your U.S. Congressman and Senators cosponsor and seek roll-call votes on the Freedom from Union Violence Act.

And, if at all possible, chip in $10, $20 or whatever you can afford to the National Right to Work Committee today.
