Revealed: Veteran whose GoFundMe has raised $11.3M for Trump's border wall previously run 'inauthentic' Facebook pages as questions are raised over whether the government can accept donations
- News report on Thursday casted Brian Kolfage, 37, in negative light
- Kolfage started a GoFundMe campaign on Sunday to raise funds for border wall
- So far it has raised over $11.3million from more than 185,000 donors
- But NBC points out that Kolfage's right-wing pages were banned from Facebook
- Facebook accused the pages of 'spam and coordinated inauthentic behavior'
- Kolfage was outspoken about the incident, accusing Facebook of censorship
- But the Department of Homeland Security may not be able to use donations for specific purposes
- Gifts for the United States Funds are set aside for general use and 'budget needs'
- GoFundMe states that money must be used for the specific purposes outlined
