SENATE CONSERVATIVES 11/29/2018 BUILD THE WALL FUNDING MUST PASS!

Conservatives:

President Trump said yesterday that Congress must provide at least $5 billion for the border wall in the year-end spending bill.

Now is the time for Republicans in Congress to deliver.

Congressman Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) promised to fund the border wall before the election, but now there's a real chance he will break his word and betray conservatives yet again.

Please call one of his offices right now and request that he keep his promise to fund the border wall.

Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), GOP Leader
Washington, DC –  (202) 225-2915
Bakersfield, CA – (661) 327-3611

Don't forget that Congressman McCarthy introduced legislation before the election providing funding for the wall. He did this so Republicans could campaign on the issue.

Now he needs to follow through. No excuses.

Also, please call the other two House GOP leaders and urge them to fund the border wall too.

Steve Scalise (R-LA), GOP Whip
Washington, DC – (202) 225-3015
Houma, LA – (985) 879-2300

Liz Cheney (R-WY), Conference Chair
Washington, DC – (202) 225-2311
Cheyenne, WY – (307) 772-2595

Be prepared for these offices to tell you that they can't fund the wall because it will lead to a government shutdown. If they won't fight for budget-related priorities simply because the Democrats oppose them, then there's no point in them being in office any longer.

What is the point of serving in Congress if you're going to surrender the power of the purse?

Also, it doesn't matter if you do not live in their states. They vote on matters that affect all Americans so you have every right to share your views with them and to donate to challenger candidates if they refuse to keep their campaign promises.

Now is not the time for House Republicans to surrender. They only have a majority for another month so this is the time to take a strong stand and fund the border wall.

Thank you for doing so much to fight for our country's future.

Sincerely,
Ken Cuccinelli II
