CNN And The Hill Spread Retracted Sexual Assault Claim - Without Mentioning It Was Retracted

CNN and The Hill both spread a bombastic accusation of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Wednesday, without mentioning that the man who made the accusation has since retracted the claim and apologized for making it. A Rhode Island man called Democratic Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse's office and claimed that Kavanaugh and one of the judge's high school friends, Mark Judge, had drunkenly sexually assaulted a friend of his while in Rhode Island in 1998, according to the transcript of a Senate Judiciary Committee interview with Kavanaugh. The man's name was redacted in the transcripts released to the public but the investigator quoted verbatim several outlandish anti-Trump tweets ... Read More

House Intel Poised To Release Dozens Of Russia Probe Transcripts

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence will vote Friday on releasing transcripts of 53 interviews conducted during its investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. "I mean, since when in this country is that the way this works," MacCallum said after playing a clip from Senator Lindsey Graham on the impossibility of such a task. Coons responded by stating that ... Read More

Time For Congress To Roll Back Health Tax

The issue of the health insurance tax has been debated nationally at various times, but it has taken on additional urgency yet again. At a time when the economy is booming and wages are rising for the first time in more than 10 years, Congress should act immediately to prevent a new headwind from forming. A quick reminder: The tax, known as the HIT, was a hidden and unnecessary tax inserted into the original Obamacare legislation. Even President Obama recognized the tax as harmful and unnecessary; he signed a bill that delayed its implementation through 2017. But now the expiration deadline is looming and ... Read More

How Trump Rescued Our Economy From Obama's 'New Normal'

It's hard to believe that just two short years ago, our economy was limping along with no sign of a massive boom around the corner. Beyond any shadow of a doubt, the pivotal factor in the last two years has been President Donald Trump. Consider this. From 2009 to 2014, real median income fell overall. It did jump a few times between 2012 and 2014, but the overall trend was one of malaise. The reason? President Barack Obama's regulations and taxes sat like a wet blanket over our economy. Many of his policies aimed at curing perceived social injustices rather than promoting economic growth. ... Read More
