I totally disagreed with Sessions using scripture to support the separation of the children from those *mothers*. this is NOT a religious issue - it is a LEGAL issue - a situation of a group of people committing a crime and then using any means they can to EXCUSE their crime... and too many others joining in blaming the wrong issue instead of going to the ROOT of WHY this is going on and WHO is the really guilty party.
I am asking all of you to STOP - THINK - where did this all BEGIN? Did it begin at the border? OR - doid it begin in some foreign location when these *mothers* (I use the term *mothers* because we aren't sure these females are the real mothers of these children or not) bought into the criminal act of dragging these children hundreds of miles with the thought they would be able to cross the American border and gain entry claiming they needed asylum as they were escaping from some kind of situation - said situation we have NO WAY OF DOCUMENTING. All the border agents have is the *word* of the ILLEGAL INVADERS. The children serve as the EMOTION DRAWING CARD - to draw sympathy and hopefully an open door rather than a closed door and denial of entry. It has worked for years so why not still? The WORD needs to go out LOUD AND CLEAR to ALL nations that the doors to the USA are CLOSED to all who refuse to use the legal way to enter America. That is to APPLY and the wait for the PERMISSION to cross our borders and come in. By following the RULES they won't be faced with having children taken and separated from them.
In America we separate parents from their children when we arrest and place them in jail - Americans don't get to cry out you are tearing our children from our arms and get all this Emotional outcry that these ILLEGALS are getting. Separating the CRIMINAL ADULT from the children is done every day in America - WHY should the ILLEGAL INVADERS get better treatment than American citizens? PHONEY EMOTIONAL POLITICS!!!!
Every single ILLEGAL ADULT should be immediately turned around and refused entry and they can take their children with them as those children are NOT the financial or physical responsibility of Americans. If these ILLEGALS are truly seeking refuge or asylum as they claim then WHY didn't they do that in the countries they crossed while traveling to America? Because they aren't really seeking asylum - they are seeking a COMFORTABLE LIFE on welfare in America. The GUILTY party in this *separation* routine is the Parents who drug them to ILLEGALLY enter our homeland.
I am sorry if this all sounds hard hearted or cruel but it goes to the ROOT of this problem and it is one that all SOCIALISTS refuse to admit to because they WANT these ILLEGALS here to boost their voting numbers and to bring down America to the Third World levels so the GLOBALISTS can rule over a globe of slaves.
We go to the ROOT in politics on who buys off or sells out on issues. WHO PAYS and WHO POCKETS. Very little that is now passed as LAW comes anywhere close to what the Constitution states. That is because the MONEY erased the WORDS the Founding Fathers created for this nation.
When you vote do not vote for any politician who uses EMOTION as a reason to vote for them. They will let their EMOTION sell you out in a minute. Again - why I rarely vote for any female.

Christian leaders across the country have taken issue with Attorney General Jeff Session's usage of the Bible as justification of his policy that is separating thousands of immigrant families at the border.
Sessions cited Romans 13 to attempt to justify how separating families was ordained by God because 'orderly and lawful processes are good in themselves and protect the weak and lawful.'
For religious leaders who still weren't pleased with his usage of scripture, he offered them to 'speak up strongly to urge anyone who would come here to apply lawfully, to wait their turn and not violate the law.'

'While protecting our borders is important, we can and must do better as a government, and as a society, to find other ways to ensure that safety,' said Cardinal Daniel Nicholas DiNardo, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, in a statement. 'Separating babies from their mothers is not the answer and is immoral.'
The sentiment was cosigned by Reverend Franklin Graham, who appeared on CBN News and called the policy 'disgraceful.'
He added: 'It's terrible to see families ripped apart, and I don't support that one bit.'

Even Sessions' own church, the United Methodist Church, released a statement condemning his actions.
'Tearing children away from parents who have made a dangerous journey to provide a safe and sufficient life for them is unnecessarily cruel and detrimental to the well-being of parents and children,' the statement read, signed by Bishop Kenneth Carter, president of the Council of Bishops of the United Methodist Church.

Matthew Schlimm, an Old Testament professor at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Iowa, shared how the scripture usage made his 'blood boil'.
'Sessions has taken the passage from Romans 13 completely out of context,' he shared with the Huffington Post.
'Immediately beforehand and afterwards, Paul urges readers to love others, including their enemies. Anyone with half an ounce of moral conviction knows that tearing children away from parents has nothing to do with love.'
Schlimm continued by mentioning how those same scriptures have been used to try to justify the use of slavery and Nazism.
'So, it's not surprising that slave traders tore children away from their parents and tried to justify it with the Bible. Or that Nazis tore children away from their parents and tried to justify it with the Bible. Sessions follows the pattern of history,' he added. 'What's chilling is to think that we again live in such morally deranged times.'
Father James Martin, editor-at-large of America magazine, called out Sessions' actions as being opposite of the Bible's teachings.
'I cannot imagine anyone in his or her right mind thinking Jesus would approve of ripping children from their parents,' Martin said during an interview with MSNBC. 'It goes against pretty much the entire Bible in the ethos of Jesus, and it's deeply un-Christian.'
