"The president is concerned about the men and women of this country who have been forgotten about, the industries that our country was founded and built on," Sanders told reporters at the daily briefing. The report found that between 2015 and 2017, “an estimated 9,097 Russian posts or tweets regarding U.S. energy policy or a current energy event,” such as approval of the Dakota Access oil pipeline, appeared on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. In addition, 4,334 social media accounts connected to a Russian agency that manipulates media platforms spread across Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, the report from the committee’s majority staff says. Sen. Johnson Wants Answers From FBI on Delay in Weiner Laptop Review

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson sent a letter to the Justice Department asking for more clarity about the delay in the FBI's investigation of emails found on Anthony Weiner's laptop before the 2016 election, Fox News reports. Johnson, Senate Homeland Security Committee chairman, sent the letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Thursday about the timeline, Fox reports. "The cryptic and disjointed nature of the text messages, in addition to heavy redactions applied to other FBI documents, make it difficult to understand fully the sequence of events," Johnson wrote to Rosenstein, Fox reported.
