While I’ve used both Uber and Lyft over the last couple of
years, after reading how Uber banned guns for both their drivers and their
riders after an Uber driver in Chicago used his lawful concealed weapon to stop
a nutjob who was shooting into a crowd of people, I switched exclusively to
Lyft.
Then I read that Lyft has a
similar anti-Second Amendment policy.
What’s a good gun rights fella to do?
Then, over the weekend, taxis in New York staged a strike at
JFK airport in New York to protest President Donald Trump’s temporary ban on travel into the United States from
seven terrorist-infected countries.
In response, Uber announced it was suspending its “surge”
pricing to help passengers stranded by the taxicab protest. But after getting flak from libs, the company
later announced its decision wasn’t in support of the president’s executive
order.
Shortly after that, Lyft weighed in on the
anti-Trump/pro-terrorist brouhaha and issued its own version of “fake news”…
“This weekend, Trump closed the country's borders to refugees, immigrants, and even documented residents from around the world based on their country of origin. Banning people of a particular faith or creed, race or identity, sexuality or ethnicity, from entering the U.S. is antithetical to both Lyft's and our nation's core values. We stand firmly against these actions, and will not be silent on issues that threaten the values of our community.”
In addition to outright lying about Trump’s executive order,
Lyft also announced it was donating $1 million to the uber-liberal ACLU.
Uber’s no angel, but Lyft is pure political evil for
conservatives. Screw you, Lyft. App deleted.

would probably have been disciplined, if not fired, for being so politically
incorrect. But not this time and not by
FedEx.
“We have reviewed the matter in Iowa City involving driver
Matt Uhrin,” the company said in a statement on Saturday. “He remains a FedEx
employee & we have no plans to change his status.”

of December 28, 2016 there were 784 Bill Draft Requests (BDRs) for the Nevada Legislature.
Highlights include…
The elimination of the death penalty, a Democrat bill to
revise permits to carry concealed weapons, numerous marijuana bills, an
important bill to revise the number of legislative bills, more water bills, a
constitutional amendment for same-sex marriage, bills requiring fluoridation of
certain public water systems, requiring acceptance of a permanent resident card
as a valid form of ID in Nevada, revising state and local governments
interaction with federal immigration authorities, a resolution asking Congress
to overturn the U.S. Supreme Court “Citizens United” decision on campaign
spending, and many election, education and tax bills.
