SPLC launches outrageous new attack

Less than one week after the historic election of Donald Trump, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), one of the nation's richest so-called "civil rights" organizations has targeted the Trump presidency, his administration, and the American citizens who elected him with the vitriolic hate speech and labeling we've come to expect from this radical group.
 

American citizens who elected Donald Trump are now being called "White Nationalists" based on an article posted on the SPLC's "Hatewatch", which "monitors and exposes the activities of the American radical right."

The SPLC vociferously opposes President-Elect Trump's announced chief strategist and senior counselor, Stephen Bannon, the former head of Breitbart Media.

In a statement entitled, "Bannon must go," the SPLC says Bannon's alt-right leanings are "simply a rebranding of white nationalism and is the energy behind the avalanche of racist and anti-Semitic harassment that plagued social media platforms for the entire presidential campaign."

+ + The Southern Poverty Law Canter is responsible for assaults on Christian organizations.

For over 6 years, Liberty Counsel has been in the crosshairs of the SPLC as they leveled unjust accusations and animosity toward Christians and Christian organizations.

Several years ago, we were named an "intolerant faction" by the SPLC then placed at the top of their "Hate List" because of our stand for natural marriage and religious liberty, and our opposition to the far-reaching LGBTQ agenda.
 

By falsely and recklessly labeling many mainstream Christian ministries as hate groups, the SPLC is directly responsible for fanning the flames of violence against Christian organizations. Back in 2012, Floyd Corkins, a part-time worker for an LGBT group, attempted to commit mass murder — targeting the Family Research Council (FRC) in Washington, D.C. Corkins said he chose the FRC because they were labeled a hate group by the SPLC. 

The SPLC is continually adding other targets, slapping the "hate" label on other mainstream Christian ministries and leading pro-family organizations. The presumed goal is to take down groups that champion biblical values – enduring principles for social good, which the SPLC somehow transmutes into "hate."

+ + The SPLC targeted Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore.

The SPLC filed the original complaints against Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore with the Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission (JIC). The complaints against Chief Justice Moore are not about ethical misconduct, but instead are an attack on his statements and administrative orders about the legal status of Alabama's Sanctity of Marriage laws and natural marriage itself.

As I have noted before, we believe this is a politically driven witch hunt sparked by the extremist SPLC to silence Chief Justice Moore and every Christian who speaks out against the social and moral decay eroding our nation's core values.

As you know, Liberty Counsel's legal team is doing everything in our power to see that Chief Justice Moore is restored to his rightful elected position.
