NEVADA NEWS & VIEWS
(Chuck Muth) - Jon Ralston – Nevada’s #2 liberal
blogger with a little-watched taxpayer-subsidized community affairs television
show – went off on one of his patented hissy-fit rants on Tuesday, sliming one
of the conservatives he loves to hate most – Assemblywoman Michele Fiore – as well as longtime veteran political affairs TV
host Sam Shad.
Ralston whined that, in his opinion, Shad didn’t ask Fiore
the kinds of obnoxious, in-your-face, “gotcha” questions that Sputtering Jon is
known for. He called the genial and highly-regarded
program host a “lapdog” and referred to Shad’s Nevada Newsmakers program – which, by the way, airs on NETWORK
television, unlike Ralston’s - as “a substitute emetic.”
You see, Sputtering Jon likes to use fancy words like “emetic” to make
himself seem smarter than everyone else.
It’s a real personality flaw for a man who is clearly very insecure
about his own intellect.
It’s also a big
bunch of sour grapes since Shad regularly books A-list guests such U.S. Sens. Harry Reid and Dean Heller who refuse to appear on “Ralston Jive.”
