Trump Embraces the “Piper Prerogative”
For the life of them, the political punditry class cannot
understand what Donald Trump is doing to them.
How can he continuously break the rules established by them and get
away with it? After all, other political
personalities have been swamped by far more minor transgressions.
Remember what happened to Mitt Romney when all he did was
accurately mention the 47 percent “who are dependent upon government, who
believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility
to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food,
to housing, to you-name-it” in a small, private gathering in 2012?
Trump has survived far bigger media conniptions,
including the one they just had over him having the GALL to tell FOX News to take their debate last night
and shove it.
How does he keep pulling
it off? Call in the Piper Prerogative.
WWE fans will remember the
late professional wrestling superstar Rowdy Roddy Piper, whose trademark line
from his fiery televised “Piper’s Pit” interviews with other WWE personalities
was...
“Just when you think you have all the answers, I CHANGE THE QUESTIONS!”
Trump is simply “pulling a Piper.”
