Part 20

 

 

We have read the Word of John and have seen the World Man-Made religions destroyed. Now we will gain understanding as to the end fates of the religions and political systems that has sought to control men for all too many years.

 

The Book of Revelation’s Chapters 17 and 18 are recognized as the most difficult to understand. This difficulty is in understanding the identities of the woman named as Mystery of Babylon and Babylon the Great as set forth in Chapter 18. I shall now set forth words I hope will make these things more understandable to you.

 

Revelation 17: 1 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. 2 With her the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries."

 

We are now introduced to what you may become to refer to as “The Harlot Woman.” This can be described in several manners but it is the conglomeration of religious practices that includes but is not limited to the RCC, Protestant religions, Islam, Hinduism, and more. Islam has taken over the role as ‘Chief Harlot’ as it strives to replace even the quasi-Christian religions in its zeal for ultimate control of the minds of men.  

 

 3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. 5 This title was written on her forehead:
      MYSTERY
      BABYLON THE GREAT
      THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES
      AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

 

The “woman” sitting on a “scarlet beast” depicts the World Council of Churches. Included amongst this Council is the RCC which has chosen to dress its ‘Elder Leaders’ in purple robes adorned with scarlet hats and wearing bejeweled rings and crosses. 

The abominations can be depicted as the willingness of the World Council of Churches to agree that ‘no matter the teachings of a particular religion, all are entitled to heaven.’

John sees this “woman” as a “harlot” due to the methods she has used, over the years, to attract men and women into her ways of worship.  

6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished. 

The woman is seen as “drunk with the blood of saints,” depicting her happiness at gaining followers by having made martyrs of many of TRUE Christians and gaining followers who represent fallen Christians. With the rise of Islam, such martyrs continue this very day! 

John reacts as awed by the woman’s ability to attract so many followers.

7 Then the angel said to me: "Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

 

God’s messenger, seen as an angel, sets about explaining to John his obvious awe so as to allow John to gain understanding.

8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come. 9 "This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. 10 They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while. 11 The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.

 

“The beast which you saw,” now put asunder, came up out of the evil minds of man. The “wisdom” calls for someone with prayerful understanding to understand. Rome is built on 7 hills whereat the World Council of Churches seeks to establish its headquarters. The 7 kings represent the 7 modern day Popes. 

In our lifetimes, yours and mine, the 8^th king has yet to ascend his ‘throne.’ He, just as his 7 predecessors will be destroyed by God’s Word. 

 12 "The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast.

 

The “10 horns” are the world leaders yet to emerge that will gain power by accepting the woman, (World Council of Churches) thereby receiving wealth as well as political power.

13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. 

The 10 leaders will allow the World Council of Churches, lead by Satan himself, to have all authority. Their “power” will be in their absolute servitude.

14 They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."

 

A war will be entered into with Jesus only to see these foolish followers of Satan suffer defeat!  Look at it this way. How could any man or group of men hope to conquer their own Creator? 

 15 Then the angel said to me, "The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.

The “waters” are people of all nations. The “languages” are the ‘tongues’ referred to in many religions as “Christian speaking.

’

 16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

 

When mankind, all of them, finally realize that the only TRUE religion is Christianity, they will turn against all false beliefs and strip all worldly goods from the fallen beasts and abandon Satan’s false teachings.  

17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled.

 

The “world Council of Churches will have power ONLY as long as God allows. When His purpose is fulfilled so shall the woman’s and God will fill the hearts of all men!

18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth."

As you learned, the “woman” is the World Council of Churches that will rule over political systems only for as long as God wills it to be.

Many religions seek to explain this Chapter as the ruling of the world religions by the RCC. This Chapter sets forth events of a time that John only witnessed and did not live in. 

So as to understand the teachings of the many religions, those calling themselves Christian, those making no such claim, those that defy Christianity and those that recognize no Creator God whatever, I have delivered sermons wherein such beliefs are set forth. It is beyond my comprehension as to how any religion representing it to be Christian, can publicly asserts their acceptance of a non-Christian manner of expressing faith. God has made His Word clear and understandable yet religious leaders, calling themselves Christian, accept Islam, Latter Day Saints, Hinduism, Shintoism, and so very many non-Christian religions as proper means of worship.

There is a Scripture that may be of assistance is understanding why you must remain stolid in the face of adversity and be willing to give up your all, including your earthly life, for TRUE Christianity.

Matthew 16: 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?

To save your earthly life and accept a false method of religion will be in vain. Jesus Himself spoke these Words and gives life to those that follow and obey Him.

Heavenly Father, Creator of us all, You who have given us Your Word, we offer our praise and ask that You accept us a those who worship You. We ask that You continue to grant us understanding of Your Word and pray that what we are learning is true. You are our God and there is no other.

Father, we see many teachings of methods of worship that are not within Your teaching and some that are contrary to Your Word. Protect us from those teachings and from any that would demand that we accept their way and abandon You. Give us the strength to stand firm on Your Rock and be able to withstand any efforts designed to remove us from Your Almighty Presence. 

Lord, we are beset by efforts of religious and political leaders to remove your absolute truths from our lives. Strengthen us Lord and provide us the Words to utter as our means of overcoming diversity. Make us strong and worthy of You.

Lord, we pray for our military, our elected officials that are of Your choosing, our judges, police officials, the many security personnel charged with keeping our nation safe, and our fellow Christians, at home and abroad. Send Your angels to protect them in time of need.

Lord, You have asked that we pray for our enemies. Lord, we pray that You will enlighten them to gain Your teachings and that You will bless them with understanding.

These things we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who is One with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever,
