SERMON - THE BOOK OF REVELATION IN WORDS OF UNDERSTANDING part 18

The Book of Revelation
In
Words of Understanding
Part 18

God is righteously wrathful. He has watched His very Word twisted and purposely misstated and used to gain the hearts of minds of men solely for the profit and power seeking on groups of men. His messengers sought to tell God’s truth only to be silenced by death and violence having been directed against them.

John hears and witnesses God’s wrath and herein makes of aware of all he saw.

Revelation 16: 1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go, pour out the seven bowls of God's wrath on the earth."
2The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly and painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image.
3 The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead man, and every living thing in the sea died.
4 The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
5 Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say:
"You are just in these judgments,
you who are and who were, the Holy One,
      because you have so judged;
6 for they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets,
and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve."
7 And I heard the altar respond: "Yes, Lord God Almighty,
true and just are your judgments."

God’s 7 messengers, seen as angels, appear and in the hands of each is a bowl (vial) containing a plague to be poured out upon men that proclaim to be Christian but are not.

The first messenger pours out (delivers God’s judgment) the first vial. The “sores” that were on men were the ugly teachings of false religion. If you will realize that the ‘plague of sores’ was God’s 7th plague delivered by Moses, you realize that there is a reason why He reversed the order of the ‘plague delivery.’

Each plague delivered upon Egypt by God, at the hand of Moses, was met by the Pharaoh having his magicians countering with their own plague or ‘show’ of their own. However the plague of sores was not countered as the magicians themselves were busy trying to seek relief from the sores visited upon them.

The “sores” are poured out first so as to deny the false religious Preachers and Teachers the opportunity to bother the true men of God. They are kept busy trying to seek relief from their afflictions. True Christians, as Moses and Israel , are not affected by these “sores.” If spiritual doubt tears at you, and fright stills your heart, then you have not been truly reborn. If doubt of the Divinity of Christ lingers, you are an Egyptian, not of God’s chosen! More simply put, either you are a true Christian or you are not!

Leviticus 26:21 is referenced and relates God’s Word to any that would preach anything other than His true Word.

The “sea” told of in Verse 3 is the foundation of Papalism which rose in a world ready to sin. The pouring of “blood’ is the teachings of RCC doctrines that kills souls under the guise of providing salvation. Men are taught to accept Priests as their way to redemption (confession), to pray to Mary and to accept the Pope’s Word as superior to God’s!

The “blood” is you look closely is “like that of a dead man.” There is but one fountain of blood that leads to salvation. That blood is the sacred blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for us sinners. John 6:53 and 63 are emphatic with respects to this.

The angel that poured out the third vial represents the Protestant movement. Just as Rome promises salvation for observing their many formal rites and ceremonies has Protestantism duplicated their duplicity!  Rome promises salvation through Christening as does Protestantism. Their methods differ but each promises salvation for undergoing this ritual. John 3:5 states, “man be born of water,” that “water” is symbolic of God placing His Spirit into the heart of men that totally accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
Ezekiel 36:25-27.

As Jesus Christ hung on the cross at Calvary you may recall that a soldier lanced the side of Jesus and out flowed blood and water. The blood cleanses us of sin (unbelief) and the water is the water of life; life as a Christian.

The rivers and springs of water set forth in Verse 4 turned to blood is but the many false religious teachings that purport to offer salvation. These is but one path to follow and that path is set forth in God’s Word, our Bible, and not through man made teachings, doctrines, rules and imaginations!

Verse 5 tells of God’s messenger that avows God’s righteousness in His will to judge as He sees fit.

Verse 6 continues the thought of Verse 5 as it teaches us that there will be spiritual death to any that have taught false doctrine and imaginations and passed them as God’s Word which the were not.

As men of flesh we are all captives of sin. We can be delivered from sin if we allow God to control our lives as He will set those free  and deliver us from evil; the wiles of Satan.
Any that refuse to let God deliver them shall be led astray by the false teaching and preaching  of strange ideologies and  die a spiritual death.

Undoubtedly you, just as I, have met a lot of people that are ‘drunk’ with their own spirit. They trust in false prophets and listen to their false sermons and ill conceived interpretations of God’s Word. They refuse to admit that they cannot live in sin, seek forgiveness, and return to their sinful ways with no repentance. Romans 2: 4-11 is a reading that really says what men must do so as to live a life within God’s teachings and not those of man!

Do not chance facing the wrath of God through your stubbornness as that will be your downfall. Let those that defy God as they refuse to REPENT and CONFESS and face judgment. Follow God’s Word with FAITH and TRUST and hear Jesus as He says, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the full joy of the Lord.”

(Closing prayer)

Father, Lord Most High, all praise is Yours, all glory is Yours, You alone are most holy, You alone are Lord. We ask that You accept our worship and invite us to be in Your grace. We ask that You grant us the mercy we need to live our lives as Your humble servants and worthy of all You choose to bestow upon us.

Lord, we know that there are many that refuse to see that they are being led astray by other false teachings and by strange doctrines that are not of Your Word. We ask that we be granted the strength to not only stand up to and against those teachings but be recognized as the true Christians we seek to be. As El Gibbor, God of strength, send Your Holy Spirit to guide us and place the Words in our mouths that will lead people to You.

Father, we ask that You be with our military, our elected leaders, our judges and our police forces. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and lead them to do Your bidding and not that of any that would cast aspersions to Your rule. Protect those who protect our country and in time of need, strengthen their hearts and bodies and protect them.

Lord, any that seek to doubt Your Word and Your ways, enlighten them and should they refuse You, confound and confuse them. Protect us Lord, protect us.

We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is One with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever,

Amen, amen and amen.
