SERMON - THE BOOK OF REVELATION IN WORDS OF UNDERSTANDING part 17

The Book of Revelation
In
Words of Understanding
Part 17

John continues writing as he is shown events that are of the utmost of importance to any Christian seeking to learn what God requires of any man to attain salvation. It is God who gave us His Word and made it very clear that He intended us to live in accordance with His Word.

We have seen how man, through man-made religious doctrines, has made it known that God’s Word is to be altered at the whim of any that assume power. Well, this is not to be and as we progress with the Book of Revelation we will learn further just what God revealed to John and ultimately to you and I.

Revelation 15: 1 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God's wrath is completed.

God pours His righteous wrath on a wicked world and most of all, on the wicked church, the RCC, that men have not been able to eradicate from their lives.

2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God

The Word of God, seen as a sea of glass, mingled with His righteous fire, gains victory over the beast! True Christianity prevails. No more false doctrines are standing. The 666 is defeated and all graven images are laid low.

3 and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb:
"Great and marvelous are your deeds,
      Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are your ways,
      King of the ages
.

True Christians praise God and sing of His glory.

4 Who will not fear you, O Lord,
and bring glory to your name?
   For you alone are holy.
   All nations will come
      and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed."

God fearing men and women, in awe at the power of God, tell of their worship and appreciation for God’s might.

5 After this I looked and in heaven the temple, that is, the tabernacle of the Testimony, was opened.

God’s servants witnessed the Ark of the Covenant which contained the Ten Commandments opened. Where men had sought to replace those Commandments with man-made doctrines and imaginations, God reveals that it is His Word that is to govern men, and no other words have meaning.

6 Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests.

Seven (7) is God’s number reflecting perfection. The white garments, adorned with golden sashes reveal the angels as God’s messengers that had many Christian followers.

7 Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

One of the four living creatures, whether living under the banner of the Lion, Calf, Man or Eagle gave the angels, messengers of God, bowls containing God’s wrath. The smoke, prayers of God’s servants filled the temple and denied access to the goats that had been separated from God’s sheep, His servants!

All have chosen their Shepherd, Jesus Christ, or their eternal life devoid of God Almighty.

In this Chapter we learn that God ultimately prevails over the many religious denominations, the RCC and the Protestant religions established by man. Gone are the, don’t wear clothes that are dyed, don’t eat meat on Friday, hell awaits any that dance and similar foolish practices. Many more man-made doctrines are more offensive were actually designed to replace God’s Word with Words of their own.

I have said it before and I will say it again, ‘if God didn’t see fit to have it written in our Bible, His word, it did not happen!’

The main reason for the many religions established by men, including the RCC, is to gain material things. These material things include money and power over the people that truly seek God. We see many on television seeking to say, ‘send me money, I will see that you are healed.’ We read of others in our newspapers that seek to gain power over people for monetary reasons as well as sexual reasons. Throughout the Bible, God’s Word, we are warned of false religions as well as false teachers. Many that purport to preach Christianity fail as their words do not come from God and are of a nature so as to be disguised as Christianity.

Allow me to make this known: Any man that assumes the responsibility to teach God’s Word best have no other motive than leading souls to Christ! God holds such men and women in a stricter manner than the lay person.

1 Corinthians 9:16 Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

Galatians 1: 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

Too many men and women hold themselves out to be Christian Preachers as they bend and twist the words of the Bible to meet their way of thinking. The Book of Revelation is very clear, even in symbolic language, as it tells us of what God truly reveals.

(Closing prayer)

Heavenly Father, Lord of all, we come to You with praise on our lips and songs of joy in our hearts. We exalt You Lord. You are our God, our Yahweh Roi, and it is You we worship. You lead us to truth and protect us with Your Mighty Hand. Be with us Lord and allow our faith to remain strong in the face of adversity.

As El Gibbor we ask that You strengthen us against the false teachings of any that would lead us astray from Your chosen path. Strengthen our hearts and allow us to walk in Your Divine Light.

Lord, we ask that You protect Your servants that do Your will. The elected officials, judges, police, security personnel that see You as their Lord and Savior are worthy of Your protection and grace and we ask that You love and protect them. Our true Christian brothers and sisters need Your help and protection. Please, bless them with such.

Lord, allow us the strength of Your Holy Spirit to spread Your message and the Good News of Your Gospel. Empower us O Lord and place the Words in our mouths as we speak to any that need to learn of You. Allow us the discernment to recognize those that pretend to be of Your flock but are not. May we speak Your message in the clear Words that You have provided.

These things we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is One with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever,

Amen, amen and amen.
