SERMON - THE BOOK OF REVELATION IN WORDS OF UNDERSTANDING 08/22/2015

The Book of Revelation
In
Words of Understanding
Part 12

I wish to remind you that the Book of Revelation is written in symbolic language and we must erase all past teachings and sermons we have heard that incorrectly interpret this most enlightening Book that God has given us. To rely on earlier teachings is to deny God’s Word as it is His revelation to John that has meaning; not the imaginations of any Denomination, sect, man or group of men.

With that said I shall continue:

Revelation 13 The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is before God. 14It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." 15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number.

The voice that came from the “horns of the golden altar” is the Blood of Christ that purchased Christians that truly believe God’s Word. The 4 angels that were released represent the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th angels earlier told of.

The “great river Euphrates ,” describes heathen Rome and later the RCC as well as false religions. The people had been bound by false preaching and doctrines that were not Christian and were in need of being taught true Christianity. The killing of 1/3 of mankind is to symbolize the number brought to God.

The 6th trumpet began to sound about AD 1880 or shortly before.

The horde of horsemen that were set upon mankind represents the men that caused the spiritual deaths of many by their preaching and teachings of false Christianity.

Revelation 17 The horses and riders I saw in my vision looked like this: Their breastplates were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and sulfur. 18 A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came out of their mouths. 19 The power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails were like snakes, having heads with which they inflict injury. 20 The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.
Armored in raiment that bespoke God’s Word, red (Blood of Christ) blue (purity) and yellow (God’s light) all being taught as God’s truth forcefully by His chosen ministers.

The “heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions,” is the powerful preaching of true Christianity with God’s Word of the need to repent while “their tails were like snakes,” which is to say that Protestantism inflicted the false doctrines that killed the souls of many.  2 Corinthians 3:6

The “third of mankind killed by the three plagues of fire, brimstone and sulfur,” represents the deaths of the men to false preaching that accepted God’s Word as truth and were reborn as Christians. The “rest of mankind” represents those that continued their sinful and man made religions that are the worship of things other than God. Although they are the people that we hear, “I am saved,” they see no need for repentance as they falsely claim that they are saved by the “Blood,” but are not.

Those that continue to practice their sinful ways as they claim to be saved are only making fools of themselves by thinking there are no consequences to their actions. If they, as we have done, truly repent and give our all to Christ by trusting in Him with no reservation, they too could have been saved. Alas…they were not.

We will learn of the battle waged for the souls of men as true Christianity, preached by men of faith, anointed by God, is taught.  Throughout this time period men continued to evangelize and teach God’s Word as He intended it to be taught.

Revelation 10: 1 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars. 2 He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3 and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke. 4 And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down." 5 Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven. 6 And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay! 7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets."  8 Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: "Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land." 9 So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey." 10 I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. 11 Then I was told, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings."

Woe had befallen those who denied the truth of God’s Word and will befall any that refuse to see His Word as His directive as to how man must live and worship.  False religions and false government continued to seek to put silence to God’s Word and His Ministers.

John now witnessed another angel coming down from heaven. “Robed is a cloud,” is to be robed in white that, in turn, represents righteousness. The description of the “angel” can only be satisfied in realizing that Christ Himself stood with one foot among men, “sea,” another on the “land,” the firmness we know to exist when we speak truth.

The thundering voice speaks of the power spoken with as He warned of the coming of the 7th angel whose trumpet would signal the Second Coming of Christ.

John was instructed to NOT WRITE what was said. He was instructed to take the “scroll” from the hand of the angel and eat it.  To eat God’s Word is to take all of it in and live by it. Although it may seem ‘indigestible’ and “sour your stomach,” by His granting of true understanding the “prophesies” are understandable and grant God’s Wisdom to those that truly live by His Word.

What must be realized is that we, true Christians, are facing a long established false religious rule as we speak against the RCC, Protestantism and false Christian preaching. This group of ‘truth deniers’ have gone so far as to establish colleges and universities that issue degrees in false teaching!

You may think, “We cannot compete with such teaching and men that possess such degrees. They are men of intelligence and education. How can I pretend to be ‘in the battle’?”

First of all it must be realized that, ‘a simple man of God, saved and filled with the Holy Spirit is armored with the “breastplate of fire.” That anointed man has the advantage as the false preachers are only protected by ‘breastplates of iron,’ which is to say, our breastplates are of God’s Word as theirs are of false doctrines!

The only possible way your adversary could ever defeat you is for you to discard the breastplate of fire, God’s Word, accept the false teaching of a man clad in a breastplate of iron, which is the false doctrines imagined and established by man! I ask, who is most powerful? God or men of false teachings?

(Closing prayer)

Almighty God, Lord and King, You are our truth, our Light and our Salvation. We come to You with praise on our lips and worship in our hearts. It is by the Blood of Jesus Christ that we are brought to belief and it is by faith that we know we can seek forgiveness for our transgressions and by repenting to You, Lord and from continued sin, we are able to say, we are saved.

Father, we ask that You continue to have Your Holy Spirit fill our hearts as He grants the wisdom required to fight the good fight as we seek to bring souls to You. Lord, we will willingly sow Your seed and ask that You water that seed if it is Your will.

Lord, we ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is One with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever,

Amen, amen and amen.
