Today, Gary LeBlanc's team at Mercy Chefs is battling extreme conditions in their efforts to serve thousands of meals in two of the hardest hit regions in flood-ravaged Texas.
Please take a moment to read Gary's update below to see how they are going above and beyond the call to help these victims.

Gary's update...
Conditions here in Wimberley are
among the poorest we've seen. Four more bodies were recovered earlier
today as periodic downpours and continued flash flood warnings are
wreaking havoc on Rescue teams and volunteers who are still trying to
reach victims in outlying areas.
One resident said that in a matter of moments, "his living room was turned into a giant washing machine."
Because treacherous conditions in both Wimberley and Houston have made it all but impossible for many to reach us, we're taking the meals to them.

I'm so proud of our Mercy Chef volunteers who are literally putting
themselves at risk — going out as far as the conditions will allow, in
an effort to feed those who, in many cases, have lost everything. With
conditions today even worse, I anticipate we will continue reaching as
deeply as we can into the community to feed more people.
Despite tremendous cooperation from other organizations and local
agencies, the need here is almost overwhelming. So many have been
tragically impacted, and I am asking for your help so that we can feed
everyone in need.

Just $50 feeds up to 20 people a day; $75 feeds 30; $500 feeds up to 200 a day. At critical times like these, there are some who can do even more!
