While the U.S. Supreme Court held an Alice-in-Wonderland session on the nature and value of marriage, one of the nation's largest cities lay partly in ruins over the death of a black man in police custody. What do the two events have in common?

To some, a makeshift shrine in the middle of the Ferguson street where Michael Brown was killed last summer is a hallowed symbol of a new civil rights movement over race and policing. To others, it has served its purpose for long enough and is now more of an eyesore and a road hazard.

Liberal media blames the victim

Liberals claim to be the world's boldest defenders of freedom of expression, which is, of course, nonsense. Here's another canard: Liberals also claim to be the most offended against anyone "blaming the victim." What liberals possess is an ideological system which identifies favored groups as victims and supports squelching the free speech of anyone challenging them.
