NEVADA ASSEMBLYWOMAN MICHELE FIORE (AD4) ON LEGISLATION ISSUES

Friends,
Are you ready for another great episode of "Walk the Talk with Michele Fiore" tomorrow? I have to say, I'm pretty excited about our guests talking about one of my favorite topics, gun rights.
We will have with us Assemblymen Wheeler and Ellison, one of my policy directors, Brian Wilson, and a very special surprise guest to talk about "Amanda's Law". Tune in to KDWN 720AM tomorrow at 9am or visit www.VoteFiore.com to listen to our show. It's going to be a great one.
Speaking of gun rights, next week is going to be a very busy week in Carson City, and we need your help to contact legislators about several important bills.

Assembly Bill 171 - Castle Doctrine, sponsored by Assemblywoman Shelly Shelton will provide legal protections for those who must defend their lives and their homes. Hearing scheduled for Tuesday at 8:00am
Assembly Bill 136 - Assemblyman John Ellison sponsored this bill that would allow you to carry a firearm for self-defense while bowhunting. Hearing scheduled for Tuesday at 1:30pm
Assembly Bill 167 - I have sponsored a bill that will make sure foster parents are allowed to have a concealed firearm. This issue came up last year, and we're going to make sure the law protects the rights of foster parents. Hearing scheduled for Wednesday at 8:00am
Senate Bill 143 - Constitutional Carry, sponsored by Senator Don Gustavson. This bill will remove the requirement to have a permit to carry a concealed firearm. Hearing scheduled for Wednesday at 1:00pm
Assembly bill 121 - Assemblyman Jim Wheeler sponsored a bill that will protect students from zero tolerance rules related to playing with toy guns or wearing clothing with guns on them. Hearing was rescheduled for Wednesday at 3:15pm
Assembly Bill 148 - I'm bringing back Campus Carry as well as amending Nevada law to allow concealed carrying in any public building where it is already legal to openly carry a firearm. Hearing is scheduled for Thursday at 8:00am
The legislative schedule is always subject to change, so it's important you know where to find information about upcoming hearings.
The Nevada Legislature provides to all Nevadans the ability to setup an account to track up to 10 bills. You can setup your account here. Once setup, you can easily follow the bill through the process and see when hearings are scheduled. Click here to setup your Personalized Legislative Tracking account
We love for you to attend hearings, either in Carson City or Las Vegas; however, you can also watch every hearing online by clicking here. The calendar of meetings lists everything that is happening that day, and you can select "view" to watch the hearing.
Thank you for participating in the legislative process, and I look forward to seeing and hearing from you next week.
All my love,
Michele Fiore
