DEAR JOHN: LETTERS TO
HAMBRICK I
From
Diana Orrock, Nevada Republican
National Committeewoman...
John,
I am very concerned about your recent
actions removing, reinstating, and again removing Assemblywoman Michele Fiore
from her new post as Majority Leader and Chair of the Taxation Committee. Her
new assignment, just like yours, was decided upon by the assembly caucus. Your
unilateral indecisiveness is showing you to be someone who should not be in a
leadership position.
I am also concerned that you may not have
gotten the very strong message from Nevadans in the last election cycle. The
Republican voters are tired of the status quo of Republicans who increase taxes
and grow government, especially of those who signed Tax Pledges and campaigned
to be fiscal conservatives. Nevada's voters wanted real, meaningful change and
thus elected principled conservatives, both new and incumbent, to a House
majority.
I can assure you that I, as well as a majority of Nevada's
Republicans, expect the newly elected Speaker to be a principled, conservative
LEADER, not a person who tries to appease those who may not be happy with their
new assignments in the upcoming 2015 legislative session. Remember, many of the
moderate Republicans in the state legislature actively campaigned against and
ran primaries against those who were considered "too conservative".
You have blatantly disregarded the decisions of your own caucus and the message
from Nevada's Republican voters.
If you are not up to the task of being a
leader and one who is not willing to defend the actions/decisions of his own
caucus, I would suggest that you immediately resign.
DEAR JOHN: LETTERS TO
HAMBRICK II
From
Ed Goedhart, former 3-term
Assemblyman for District 36…
During
my years of service with you in the Legislature, I found you to be a decent and
honorable man. I considered you to be
one of the few members that I could count on to reliably vote in a conservative
manner. Therefore, I was floored when I
heard the news of your action to unilaterally remove Fiore from her leadership
positions.
Regardless
of the pressure that I am sure you have been subjected to, your actions
were unwarranted and are incredibly damaging to the Republican brand. Your actions have given the impression that
you have buckled to Brian Sandoval and R&R Partners, and are removing any
possible impediments to their BILLION dollar tax increase.
As a
Republican, I stand for constitutionally limited government, free markets,
fiscal responsibility, transparency, individual responsibility, and personal
freedom. Your latest actions run counter to at least a couple of the above
listed tenets of the Republican platform.
Show
me one Republican (or Democrat for that matter) in the state Legislature who
ran on the platform of having to raise taxes and enact new taxes.
The
voters, in convincing manner, repudiated all new taxes and tax increase
measures on the ballot. Your acquiescence to the tax hikers in your midst will
facilitate a massive tax increase and give the impression that "the fix
is in", and will alienate the limited government, fiscal conservatives
who handed control of the Assembly to the Republicans. Your actions will ensure that many of these
voters will sit on the sidelines in protest in future elections.
It
is not too late. I urge you to reverse your decision, and return Fiore to her
leadership positions.
DEAR JOHN: LETTERS TO
HAMBRICK III
From
Wayne Allyn Root, author of "The
Murder of the Middle Class" and "The Ultimate Obama Survival
Guide"…
John,
How
many years have I known you? How many GOP meetings have we appeared at
together? I've always liked you. You
need to listen to me - I'm the canary in the coal mine.
You
have embarrassed yourself. I'm disgusted with you. Don't count on me to EVER
support you or any of the "moderate Republicans" now in office. The
way you have handled yourself is so offensive that I'm done. It's time for
recall elections.
You
are subverting the will of not just the people…but your OWN most loyal voters
and supporters. I'm Mr. True Blue conservative. I support true-blue limited
government conservatives like Michele Fiore. I wanted her as Chair of the
Taxation Committee.
I
vote, support and write checks to the GOP so they will hold the line on taxes.
I see I've thrown my money away. I've wasted my time. John…I'm shocked. It's
time for the same landslide that elected GOP to throw you turncoats and
traitors out of office. You have no idea what you've done.
Let
me give you a hint. My grandfather came to America with nothing. Not 2 cents.
He became a millionaire with a small butcher store. You know how he did it? He
had only 2 rules:
#1)
The customer is always right.
#2)
If the customer appears wrong, refer back to rule #1.
That's
it.
The
GOP's core customer is ME. Your core customer is ME. And thousands more like
me. Conservative activists. Conservative donors. We the people elected you to
CUT taxes and fight big government. But once in office you forgot us. Not a
year down the line. Only DAYS after winning a landslide. You sold out to lawyers, lobbyists, big
corporations and worst of all - big government (like teachers unions).
I
didn't do 1,200 media interviews (yes I said ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED)
supporting the GOP so you could vote just like Democrats. Who needs you? It's
time for recalls. You have no idea the hornets’ nest you've stirred.
Next
time you see me at GOP event…walk away with your head down. I will not look at
you. I will not acknowledge you. You have embarrassed yourself and offended me
more than Obama or any Democrat could.
If
you've lost me…exactly who do you have left, John? Are Obama and the unions
going to back you in 2 years? You've destroyed the relationship with your best
customers. You done the reverse of my grandfather. You've alienated the very
people that elected you.
Mark
my words- this betrayal is the biggest mistake of your political career. And
MANY Republicans will now face recall. I will do 1,200 interviews to see all of
you unemployed.
DEAR JOHN: LETTERS TO
HAMBRICK IV
From
conservative activist Ken Koeppe…
Speaker
designate Hambrick:
I
regret "piling on" while you are suffering from a continuous mental
whipping that I find hard to believe has been self-inflicted.
We know that politics is a "game" of
manipulation & machinations that should not be engaged in by players who
are indecisive.
Those of us enjoying a Caribbean cruise with you were pleased
to hear you assert your bona fide conservatism, and in a conversation with you
I was impressed that you were a decisive representative. Possibly, too invested
in your own opinion, but decisive.
Now
it appears that my judgment was incorrect and you are an embarrassment to yourself
and the people of Nevada.
I am
sure that we both agree that your vacillations are not your individual
decisions but in fact are at the bidding of those in the caucus that were on
the short side of the vote. Those who wish to saddle the citizens with more
taxes & willing to be sycophants to Big Spending Brian Sandoval rather than
honest representatives of their constituents.
DEAR JOHN: LETTERS TO
HAMBRICK V
From
Robert & Penny Kaul of Henderson, Nevada…
Dear
Mr. Hambrick,
Over
the last few years we were impressed with your reputation of fairness and
integrity. We all know how difficult it is to get and maintain your good name.
We are very sorry to say that during the last week you have totally reversed
our opinion of you.
The handling of Michele Fiore and the lies you told trying
to justify your actions were obvious fabrications. By also removing Victoria
Seaman is was obviously not about Michele Fiore’s IRS issues but rather her
statements concerning Monte Miller and his henchmen.
It
is plain to see that you are the perfect example of what the voters have been
trying to remove from office, the unprincipled and self serving politician.
Your total betrayal of your espoused values and the fact that you have turned
your back on our Republican state and county platforms and the will of the
people shows to us that you are unfit for office.
During
the last election numerous conservative candidates running for office for the
first time with absolutely no assistance from the party won their elections by
going to the people with their conservative message. Selling them out for your
own political gain is a slap to all of
the voters who supported them.
We have
been Republicans for over 40 years and for the last 20yrs we have felt that the only
difference between the parties was in the spelling. The last 6 years we saw a
renewed movement on the Republican Party to return to their conservative base
and ideals. You have single-handedly set that movement back years here in
Nevada.
In
conclusion, we would like to say that we have lost any and all respect for you
that we once held, and instead hold you in contempt. We hope and pray that you
will see the damage you are doing and take action to repair the damage you have
done. If not, we will have to explore any opportunity to show you the error of
your ways, whether it be sanctions by the county and/or state parties or any
recall effort that we can assist in.
FAMOUS LAST WORDS
Today,
YOU can have the last word. Here’s
how to communicate with Mr. Hambrick…
