BJ3: This is exactly what MANY of our readers predicted would happen
about this time. How unfortunate.
First off, this column is a writer’s opinion. Even
if he might be right, he has not made the case. And, in at least one instance,
he claims something related to “citizen” supports his claim that Cruz is “NBC”.
Think back, folks, did not many of you scream when Judge Napolitano reportedly
opined that “NBC” meant “born of one citizen parent no matter where”? Have
we all not been going through these “talking points” for 6 years
now?
Why
is that different now? Hey, Cruz is top drawer, top caliber, top character and
all the rest. He made Senator, no? Well, so did BHO...because neither needed to
be “NBC”, with POTUS being the only position so requiring.
And
speaking of another senator, and how I hate to say this as I don’t agree, was
there not a resolution (even if non-binding, holding no water) where “Congress”
did kinda opine on this issue alleging McAmnesty eligible/”NBC” because both his
parents were citizens (if not NBC themselves)? There are tons more examples on
all sides of a definition.
IOHO (we are entitled too), this column may be taken then as BHO should
“slide” or be given a pass on eligibility...and much more. Soooo, you tell
us....What do you think?
