FINALLY A CONSENSUS: AS COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, OBAMA SUCKS
Over the past six years, Republicans have been critical of
President Barack Obama’s weak,
misguided national defense policies when it came to dealing with terrorists,
thugs, dictators and thieves.
But if you think it’s only Republicans who think the
president has been lousy in this area, you’ve got another think coming. Get a load of this quote about Obama’s
failure to take action after Syria used chemical weapons from his own former
CIA director, Leon Panetta, in a
soon-to-be-released memoir…
“The result, I felt, was a blow to American credibility. When the president as commander in chief draws a red line, it is critical that he act if the line is crossed. The power of the United States rests on its word. Assad’s action clearly defied President Obama’s warning; by failing to respond, it sent the wrong message to the world.”
Did it ever. Epic
fail.
In addition, there’s no denying the fact that Obama’s
cut-and-run policy in Iraq has squandered billions in treasure and thousands of
American military lives that were expended to rescue and rebuild that
nation. Iraq is now overrun and
terrorized by ruthless barbarians whose Queen of Hearts-like slogan is,
literally “Off with their heads!”
Not satisfied with merely losing Iraq, it looks like
Afghanistan is next to fall.
The Associated Press reported on Friday that “An Afghan army
desperate for more advanced military equipment is suffering death rates 30
percent higher in the 2014 fighting season, the army’s first against the
Taliban without large-scale assistance from the U.S.-led international military
force.”
But at least the President said this week he has this whole
Ebola thing under control.
Oh, wait…
Reuters reported on Friday that “Nurses, the frontline care
providers in U.S. hospitals, say they are untrained and unprepared to handle
patients arriving in their hospital emergency departments infected with Ebola.”
Good grief.
And do you know who’s responsible for this disaster of a
second term for a failed first term president?
The Republican establishment that forced Mitt Romney on us as the GOP’s
presidential nominee in 2012, that’s who.
And if they give us another McCain-like/Romney-like nominee in 2016,
we’re gonna end up with President Hillary…and it’ll be déjà vu all over again.
Will Republican leaders ever learn?
MUTH’S TRUTHS
--> This isn’t exactly surprising, but yet another crushing blow
to Democrat congressional candidate Erin
Bilbray-without-the-Kohn nonetheless…
“Bilbray, a political consultant and daughter of former Rep. Jim Bilbray, fails to see the disconnect between her policy positions. She says the financial security of the middle class is her focus, but she supports a job-killing $15-per-hour minimum wage and she opposes fracking, which has reduced energy costs and supports more than 1 million middle-class jobs. She wants a balanced federal budget but won’t support changes to the federal entitlements that will drive future deficits. Rep. Heck has the intellect, integrity and experience Washington desperately needs. The Review-Journal endorses Joe Heck for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District.”
What they said.
--> In an editorial board meeting with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Republican lieutenant governor candidate Mark Hutchison bragged about Gov. Brian Sandoval “pump(ing) another $500
million into education funding and add(ing) $50 million for English language
learning.”
He also said he and Sandoval expect to introduce measures to
increase K-12 spending in next year’s legislative session even MORE,
despite the fact that more money will NOT fix what’s wrong with our
government-owned/union-managed public schools.
Tell me again why it’s so important to elect tax-hiking moderate
Republicans such as Hutch?
--> If you’ve ever wondered where the term “going postal” comes
from, consider this item from the Seattle
Times: “A postal worker in Bellevue, Wash. allegedly went on a hysterical
rampage on Friday morning that resulted in hitting a town resident with her
truck not once, not twice, but three times, all while laughing hysterically.”
--> If the objective is to bring Major League Soccer to Las
Vegas, why do taxpayers have to build a multi-million dollar new stadium downtown
when there’s a perfectly good soccer stadium at the Sam Boyd Silver Bowl that
already hosts a number of professional soccer games? I’m just saying.
--> So a 16-year-old boy was bragging all over campus that he’d
been involved in a consensual three-some with a pair of female school teachers
and, not surprisingly, the story got out.
News reports have referred to the boy as a “victim.”
Let’s just say it doesn’t appear the young lad sees himself
as “victimized.”
