Dear Conservatives,
With just 7-days until the election, New Mexico’s Senate race is suddenly in play.
A new survey conducted by the Albuquerque Journal
shows GOP Senate candidate Allen Weh trailing liberal Democrat Sen. Tom
Udall — 43 to 50 percent. Eight percent of registered voters surveyed
remain undecided.
Although conservative Allen Weh still trails his liberal opponent by 7-points, he’s closing the gap fast. In the Journal’s last survey in mid-September, Allen Weh was 13-points behind.
According to the Albuquerque Journal news story on the poll:
“Weh’s
narrowing of Udall’s lead came as the Republican candidate improved his
support, at least slightly, among Democratic voters.
Weh
also showed slight improvement in his Republican base, with 81 percent
of GOP members saying they backed the Albuquerque businessman and retired Marine colonel…
Male
voters for the first time in the Senate race leaned toward Weh.
Forty-nine percent of men said they preferred the Republican, compared
with 46 percent backing Udall.
A month earlier, Udall led among men by 10 points, with 50 percent to Weh’s 40 percent.”
Few national groups or conservative PACs have engaged in the New Mexico Senate race at any significant level.
There are less than 7-days until the election.
We have a VERY SHORT TIME WINDOW to make an impact.
With the outcome of the Georgia and Kansas Senate seats precarious at best, New Mexico matters.
Sincerely,
Bob Adams
