GUNS SAVE LIVES: ANOTHER IN A SERIES
On Thursday, the Associated Press reported that…
“Gun control groups say this is the year they finally go toe-to-toe with the National Rifle Association and match their foe's imposing campaign spending for congressional candidates.”
AP further noted that…
“Organizations led by billionaire Michael Bloomberg and the wounded former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., will unleash huge sums in the campaigns' closing weeks to back candidates favoring firearms curbs.”
These people are very misguided and very dangerous to your
safety. Worse, they’re now armed to the
teeth with Bloomberg’s money.
Do bad guys have guns?
Yes. Do bad guys do bad things
with guns? Yes. Will Bloomberg and Giffords’ gun control
measures stop that?
No.
The reality is bad guys have guns and will always have
guns. And the only way to stop a bad guy
with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Not
a good guy with a cell phone dialing 9-1-1.
Indeed, that latest example of how Guns Save Lives comes to
us from right here in Las Vegas.
On Friday afternoon, the Las
Vegas Review-Journal published a story online about a local woman who has
been stalked by some nutjob for over six months.
When the woman - whose name has been reported but I’m not
going to publish here - warned the stalker that she was getting a restraining
order, the stalker reportedly replied, “That won’t help. That’s just a piece of paper.”
And you know what?
When you’re dealing with psychos like this, he’s absolutely correct.
In another run-in, the stalker reportedly threatened…
“Hey, b---, we’re coming for you. The police won’t find me. I’m planning a raid. I am tracking you.”
Four attempts to break into the woman’s apartment and more
than 10 calls to the police didn’t stop this lunatic. And as you can imagine, the poor woman was
terrified and living like a “hermit.”
Then, shortly after 1 a.m. on September 26, the RJ reports
that the woman “was watching TV when she heard her apartment door being broken.”
According to the police report, when the
stalker “stuck his head through the opening, the woman ran upstairs, grabbed
her 9 mm pistol, and…”
BLAM! BLAM!
Two shots.
The dirtbag ran away, “was found a short time later hiding
in some bushes,” and “survived a single gunshot wound to the chest.”
He’s now in custody.
The woman is alive. And now she’s
safe.
Repeat after me: Guns Save Lives. Guns Save Lives. Guns Save Lives. Guns Save…
