Senator Ted Cruz is right. This is serious folks and the stakes are too high and too grave to ignore. Are Democrats In The Senate Really Supporting ISIS Terrorists?
The answer to that question can be obtained by simply examining the lies that are being told in defense of blocking Ted Cruz's legislation.
Speaking for her fellow Democrats - and with the assistance of the ACLU - Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) blocked Cruz's unanimous consent motion to pass the Expatriate Terrorist Act of 2014.
Under Senate rules, it is, unfortunately, her prerogative.
Seeking cover for her treasonous act, she lied... she falsely claimed that Cruz's bill would affect "fundamental constitutional rights" and she added: "Legislation that grants the government the ability to strip citizenship from Americans is a serious matter, raising significant constitutional issues."
But there's one huge and glaring problem with Hirono's pathetic excuse. The Expatriate Terrorist Act of 2014 is actually a bill to simply amend EXISTING law, specifically 8 U.S.C. 1481.
Among a long list of other actions, under 8 U.S.C. 1481, one is already considered to have voluntarily renounced their U.S. citizenship if they serve in the armed forces of a foreign nation that is engaged in hostilities against the United States.
And the Expatriate Terrorist Act of 2014, simply adds that joining with a "designated terrorist organization" that is engaged in hostilities against the United States to the long list of actions that one can take to voluntarily renounce their U.S. citizenship.
Yes Senator Hirono, "legislation that grants the government the ability to strip citizenship from Americans" may be a "serious matter" but it is ALREADY THE LAW! And it's been the law for approximately 75 years!
So what's the wrong with adding those who leave the country and join recognized and designated terrorist organizations that are engaged in hostilities against the United States to the list of those who voluntarily renounce their U.S. citizenship?
And what is wrong with barring these individuals from coming back to the United States?
The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Hirono knows it... her Democrat partners-in-crime know it... and while some of them may be under the delusion that their childish behavior is just politics-as-usual... it's not... they're emboldening an enemy... and they're placing American lives in imminent danger.
They're simply relying upon your ignorance by raising a totally phony civil liberties argument, and if patriotic Americans don't speak up, right here and right now, to expose this treasonous lie, they'll proceed under the assumption that they can get away with it.

What Are These People Thinking?
Since we're asking questions, is it appropriate to ask if Senator Hirono condemned Barack Hussein Obama when he stood accused of taking the lives of American citizens oversees?
And if it's alright to kill them, then what is wrong with barring them from coming back into the United States?
Cam Cavasso, who is running for the United States Senate in Hawaii, said it best when he asked just who believes "that these terrorists have not renounced their U.S. citizenship when they fight with ISIS... and seek to do harm to the U.S. and U.S. citizens."
Cavasso adds: "What in the world went through our Hawaii Senator's mind when she chose to be the spokesperson for democrats to object to a bill to that would help protect law abiding U.S. citizens on U.S. soil, and instead she chose to actively object on a technicality to protect and maintain constitutional rights and U.S. citizenship for ISIS terrorists?"
Is it entirely possible that Hirono and her fellow-travelers in the Democratic Party believe that the
"constitutional rights" of ISIS terrorists trump the constitutional rights of American citizens?
Are democrats, knowing that voters will be going to the polls in
approximately thirty days, so obsessed over protecting the Obama
Regime's narrative that ISIS is being degraded that they're willing to
commit a grave sin of omission and put thousands of American lives at
risk?
What about Cruz's fellow Republicans? Where's the outrage. With a
federal election days away, why are they not moving heaven and earth to
expose Hirono's lie and champion
Expatriate Terrorist Act of 2014?
And why are our elected officials in their home states and districts
campaigning for reelection when they should be in session, at this very
moment, to vote on Cruz's
Expatriate Terrorist Act of 2014?
Those are the questions we're going to ask, and we will not rest until we've received an answer from our elected officials.
But we can't do it alone. We need your help. We must deluge our elected officials with calls and faxes that demand an answer to the questions posed above.
And we can make one promise. If enough people show righteous outrage, our elected officials will change their tunes real quick; but there's not a moment to lose, if ISIS is to be believed, an attack on American soil is imminent... it will come from people who presently have the "right" to freely come into the United States... and the action you take today could, quite literally, save the lives of thousands of innocent Americans tomorrow.
