The Times adds that Obama has "emboldened activists and businesses to flock to the administration with their policy wish lists. [Obama] is presiding over opaque policy-making, with the potential to reward political backers... Administration officials have convened more than 20 so-called listening sessions this summer alone on executive options for revising immigration policy, a White House official said, declining to discuss the sessions in detail because the conversations were private."

So what is the long-term impact? While they conceal their methods from the light of day, the desired outcome is no longer a secret. The denizens of the Left are no longer even bothering to hide their ultimate goal from the American people. Bold as brass, Eliseo Medina with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) proclaimed: "We reform the immigration laws, it puts 12 million on the path to citizenship and eventually voters."

Senator Sessions claims that virtually all of the companies that are secretly meeting with Barack Obama are actually laying off American citizens and legal aliens and he gives examples:
"Even while they demand more foreign workers, these companies are laying off current employees in droves. Cisco, which Politico reports met with White House aides to advocate for more foreign workers, just last week announced its intent to lay off 6,000 employees. Last month, Microsoft declared it would lay off 18,000 workers. Overall, mass layoffs in the tech industry are up 68% from the prior year."
Yes, tens of thousands (perhaps hundreds of thousands) of American jobs are already being sacrificed on the altar of Amnesty and such a harsh reality might explain why a majority of Americans — Hispanics included — are not buying what the Obama Regime is selling.
According to a recent survey by The Polling Company, 75% of likely voters and 63% of Hispanics want our current immigration laws enforced. 74% of likely voters oppose the imminent Obama Amnesty decree and, according to another poll by Rasmussen, 60% of likely voters believe that securing our border is more important than "legalizing the status of undocumented workers in America."
So don't let the media or the political elites in Washington tell you that you're in the minority. You are not alone.
But make no mistake, politicians in Washington aren't ignoring the polls. As the November election approaches, there are far too many in Washington — Democrats and Republicans alike — who would love nothing more than to simply puff and pontificate against Amnesty to secure your vote but then do nothing — and thereby satisfy the special interests who fund their political campaigns — and let Barack Obama take all the heat.
