Will America need a Nuremberg Trial?
by LAWRENCE SELLIN, PHD June 17, 2014
If
Barack Obama is not removed from office before his term expires, it
will be a tacit endorsement of permanent political corruption in
Washington DC.
Obama, however, is a symptom, not the disease itself, which like
early stage cancer has spread largely undetected by the American people.
By
combining lawlessness and incompetence, the Obama Administration has
set a new standard for executive malfeasance bordering on treason.
It is those very deficiencies, however, that have, as never before,
exposed the extent and depth of corruption among our politicians and
members of the media.
Many of them have set a new standard for
tolerance of official misconduct bordering on misprision of felony, the
deliberate concealment of one's knowledge of a criminal act.
It is only within the context of a hopelessly corrupt
political-media culture could a man so lacking in experience, so wanting
in ethical qualities and embracing beliefs so antithetical to American
values and traditions rise to the highest office in the land.
The tenant in the White House leads a deceitful and inexperienced
group of extreme left ideologues, who foster policies that risk the
survival of the republic, undermine the security of its citizens and
abrogate their unalienable rights.
Politicians and journalists do not aggressively challenge Obama
because it would ultimately expose their complacency or complicity in
Obama's violations of Constitution, uncover their willful ignorance of
his alleged felonies and confirm their participation in the greatest
election fraud and Constitutional crisis in American history.
Their avarice and timidity have made them victims of political blackmail.
The
political-media elite cannot tell the truth about Obama because it
would threaten their collective power, privilege and wealth, which they
now preserve at the expense of the well-being of the nation.
Ambrose Bierce, a 19th century political satirist, accurately described Washington D.C. as:
"a strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles and the conduct of public affairs for private advantage."
Our present national crisis results directly from the dereliction
of duty shown by politicians and journalists, who did not properly vet
Obama before the 2008 Presidential election.
The Democratic
Party and its propaganda arm, the mainstream media, overcome by
politically correct euphoria and the prospect of socialism, willingly
ignored Obama's dubious personal history as well as his ineligibility
and incapability for the Presidency.
The Republicans feared criticism by the media and being labelled
racists for questioning Obama's background or fitness for office. Long
ago the Republican establishment jettisoned its principles to win
elections deciding that, in order to do so, they had to behave like Democrats.
Despite the enormous historical and Constitutional implications,
the politicians and the media, not only have remained silent, but have
actively suppressed legitimate inquiry. Due to either complicity or
cowardice, a conspiracy of silence descended upon the public discourse
regarding questions that might challenge the legality of the Obama
Presidency.
How far will our political-media elite go to protect their own interests by continuing to protect Obama?
How
much damage will America need to sustain before our "leaders" decide
that they love their country more than they love themselves?
The fact that Obama happened is bad enough, but those who allowed
Obama to happen need to be held accountable because their betrayal is
far greater.
The time for retribution is coming.
