TxDOT's sign commandment evokes wrath, standdown
Our tale today concerns the separation of church and state highways. As
of last week, it also has TxDOT in a bit of a legal fight as well. The
flap raises some interesting questions about private property rights,
religious freedom and Lady Bird Johnson's signature project as first
lady.

Poverty and Snow Storms
Many years ago, in upstate New York, there was a lady who was caught in a
fierce snow storm that produced conditions called a "whiteout." That's
when the snow is falling so thick and fast that all you can see in any
direction is just sheer white. This lady wandered around in the storm,
struggling to try to get home.

MSNBC Joins With Democrats to 'Grow Hope
We have often noted how NBC, and its cable-news sister network MSNBC,
form a virtual arm of the Democratic Party. Now, with the creation of
their new "Growing Hope" website, MSNBC has abandoned all pretense of
being an actual news network, and has completely joined forces with the
Democratic Party.
