STOP OBAMA'S INTERNET GIVEAWAY - PETITION

From the Desk of:
Ron De Jong
Grassfire Senior Writer

Patriot,

In light of President Obama's plan to surrender control of the Internet to an as-of-yet "undefined" group, I'd like to share with you some powerful words from The Washington Times:
"Open communication on the Internet has allowed free men and women to paint the globe with the liberating message of democracy. Tyrants, despots and charlatans, large and small, understand they can no longer get away with concealing the truth as they once did. The Net spreads Western values, culture and language throughout the world. This gives the internationalists, such as President Obama, severe heartburn."

If the above statement doesn't grab you by the spine and drive you to immediately take action to keep the Internet firmly in America's grip, then I urge you to heed the words of Newt Gingrich. The former House Speaker recently warned, "Every American should worry about Obama giving up control of the Internet. ... This is very, very dangerous."

Patriot, your voice, your opinion, your presence matter in this battle. If you haven't yet added your name to the national "Stop Obama's Internet Giveaway" petition:

+ + What Surrender Of The Internet Really Means

For months PAN and Grassfire have been warning Americans what to expect should Obama succeed in relinquishing control of this U.S. creation to an international body.
According to The Washington Times, ICANN, the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, is a private company that is subject to "enormous influence from other nations that had nothing to do developing the Internet and do not share or tolerate democratic values."
Up to now, ICANN has handled its responsibilities without issue. However, free of U.S. control, that will likely change in a hurry. Numerous sources have already reported that ICANN has shown "an ambition to undermine the Western character of the system."
Left unchallenged, changes of language and protocols will allow the Internet -- our Internet, to be co-opted, corroded and compromised by International minds who don't embrace Western values like liberty and freedom.
Don't allow that to happen. Click here and join the fight to stop Obama's Internet giveaway.

+ + 50,000 Petitions Needed For Immediate Delivery

Less than 20,000 petitions are needed before Grassfire hand-delivers 50,000 petitions to key lawmakers fighting to keep the Web free, open and protected from tyrants and dictators. If you believe like Newt Gingrich that Obama's Internet giveaway is "very, very dangerous," take immediate action.
Thank you, in advance, for your quick response.
Ron
