It makes us sick to hear self-proclaimed "conservative" pundits say that Cliven Bundy is in the wrong... that he's defying the law by not paying his grazing fees... that "law-and-order" is the "conservative position" ... even as they begrudgingly concede that the government initiated armed stand-off may have been an "over-reaction."
Let's make one thing crystal clear. The government is not pursuing Cliven Bundy because he has refused to pay "grazing fees" and otherwise comply with idiotic federal government mandates.
Rather... Cliven Bundy stopped paying his grazing fees and complying with idiotic federal government mandates BECAUSE it became clear that the government was engaging in a coordinated mafia-style bust-out to run the ranchers in the vicinity of Bunkerville, Nevada out of business and "steal" their land.
As conservative columnist Dana Loesch writes, the federal government "began systematically driving out cattle and ranchers. Bundy refused to pay BLM, especially AFTER they demanded he reduce his herds' head count down to a level that would not sustain his ranch."
Put plainly, through idiotic mandates and regulations, the government effectively attempted to force Bundy to either liquidate or go into bankruptcy and yet, self-proclaimed conservative pundits have the audacity to tell us that Bundy is in the wrong?
Hell no... That attitude defies reason. What the government is doing defies reason and not demanding that our elected officials take action to stop this injustice defies reason.

Make No Mistake. This Is A Range War And The Federal Government Is The Villain.
Lest anyone think it's unreasonable to imply that that the government is engaging in a Mafia-style bust-out, keep in mind that Cliven Bundy is literally the last man standing in the Bunkerville area.
Not so ironically, after being run out of business by senseless government regulations, ranchers in the Bunkerville area had no alternative than to "sell" their ranches to the federal government for pennies on the dollar... pennies that the federal government had previously collected from the ranchers through the imposition of "grazing fees."
Would you pay good money to the federal government to run you out of business and steal your land?
Seeing this battle unfold before our eyes is akin to watching an old John Wayne movie about rich and powerful business interests joining with corrupt government officials to run humble farmers and ranchers off their land.
But what is transpiring is no John Wayne movie. This range war is very real and if Harry Reid and his goons can run the Bundys off their land and destroy their lives, understand that you will be next.

The Rule Of Law? No, We're Living Under The Rule Of Lawlessness.
Can you believe that Harry Reid had the audacity to call Cliven Bundy a "lawbreaker." Is it possible that Harry Reid just had a Come-to-Jesus moment and decided - starting with Cliven Bundy - to turn his back on the putrid stench of lawlessness and corruption that has followed him his entire political career?
Hardly... there can be doubt. The law, government agencies and even the courts are being tyrannically abused by political princelings to drive the Bundy family out of business because, as Dana Loesch says: "They want his land."

Why have over fifty of Cliven Bundy's fellow ranchers been driven out of business and why is the
ONLY rancher in the area left standing, the very one who is choosing not to comply?
Why did the federal government find it necessary to send armed goons,
sniper teams and assault vehicles to the area to rustle cattle and
destroy the Bundys equipment and livestock to enforce a court order over
something as trivial as Bundy's refusal to pay the federal government
grazing fees?
Is it simply a coincidence that the federal government started
escalating this situation after it was determined that the area around
Bunkerville, Nevada would be dedicated to the development of large solar
energy facilities?
And finally, ask yourself if such a thing should be allowed to stand in the United States of America?

And if you still believe, like far too many of the self proclaimed conservative pundits, that the "conservative position" is to blindly obey the dictates of a tyrannical government, ask yourself the following questions:
Would self-proclaimed conservative pundits dare call those who drank at
"Whites Only" water fountains or refused to sit at the back of buses or stood defiantly as a local sheriff
unleashed pressure hoses and dogs on them, "law-breakers?"
Would self-proclaimed conservative pundits dare claim that the men who dumped tea into Boston Harbor so many years ago were
"lawbreakers" ... that they should have simply complied with the dictates of a tyrannical British Crown and
Parliament?
Are self-proclaimed pundits actually telling us that we should bend to a
"rule of law" that comes from an out-of-control regime that has shown itself, time and again, to be totally lawless?
Our Founding Fathers had strong feelings on such issues and stated those opinions in our Declaration of Independence:
"[W]henever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it... when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
Congress has the power, the authority and the duty to right this wrong, and this wrong must be righted; otherwise, a free people will have no other recourse than to imagine the unthinkable and pursue other means to throw off the shackles of tyranny.
