Exporting our abundant natural gas would solidify America as an energy superpower, provide greater security to our allies, and reduce our allies’ energy dependence on unfriendly nations. Yet environmental extremists are trying to block our ability to supply energy to the world.
Thanks to the work of our industry, our nation is in the middle of an energy revolution. We have the energy to meet our country’s needs with affordable supplies here at home and help bring energy security to our allies – but to do this we need to start exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Opponents of the terminal are using fear to mislead the public into turning against LNG exports. We can’t let their misleading rhetoric about this safe energy terminal succeed in derailing our energy security and the economic benefits for our area. There is broad bipartisan support of this project, and the U.S. Department of Energy recently commissioned a study that concluded, “Across all scenarios, U.S. economic welfare consistently increases as the volume of nature gas exports increases.”
