In
explosive testimonies, one law professor testified before the House
Judiciary Committee that the expansion of the Executive Branch is
happening so fast that America is at a “constitutional tipping point.”
Another expert warned that Congress is being rendered “superfluous.”
Two
measures have been proposed in the House to rein in the President’s
abuse of power. We endorse those measures – but we are also emphatically
calling for Articles of Impeachment to be drafted.

Conservatives,
Last
week, a relatively inconspicuous (by media standards) yet critically
important meeting took place on Capitol Hill before the House Judiciary
Committee. The hearing was called: “Enforcing the President’s
Constitutional Duty to Faithfully Execute the Laws.”
The
hearing included testimonies by several experts on the Constitution who
hail from both sides of the political spectrum. But one undeniable fact
emerged in the bi-partisan testimonies:
The
balance of power as outlined by the Constitution of the United States
is being severely tilted toward the Executive Branch at an alarming rate
under the Obama presidency.
As reported by The Washington Beacon…
“Jonathan
Turley, Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington
University, testified that the expansion of executive power is happening
so fast that America is at a “constitutional tipping point.
‘My
view [is] that the President has in fact, exceeded his authority in a
way that is creating a destabilizing influence in a three branch
system…. [B]ut the rate at which executive power has been concentrated
in our system is accelerating. And frankly, I am very alarmed by the
implications of that aggregation of power.
What
also alarms me, however, is that the two other branches appear not just
simply passive, but inert in the face of this concentration of
authority.’”
Elizabeth
Price Foley, a law professor at Florida International University
College of Law, agreed, warning that Congress is in danger of becoming
“superfluous”…
“If
you want to stay relevant as an institution, I would suggest that you
not stand idly by and let the President take your power away.”
Could a warning be any more direct and emphatic than that?
If
we fail to act, we will fail to defend our liberties, fail to safeguard
the balance of power of our government, fail to hold our elected
officials accountable – and we will succeed in allowing a despotic
leader to crown himself “Emperor of America.”
Unfortunately,
after such a stern rebuke, the committee balked at considering
impeachment proceedings. Liberty Counsel Action has no such
trepidation!
++This is a clear and present danger that demands action.
The
President has all but dismissed the Legislative Branch, the Members of
which are elected to represent the will of the people in our
constitutional republic.
That’s why Liberty Counsel Action is calling for the United States House of Representatives to draft Articles of Impeachment against President Barack H. Obama for high crimes and misdemeanors.
Make no mistake: Our Constitution and precious liberties are under full-scale assault by Obama and his leftist administration.

lawless administration to stop usurping the power of the American people

++This is a long overdue step in the right direction.
Representative Tom Rice (R-SC) introduced the “Stop This Overreaching Presidency (STOP)” measure, which now has 114 co-sponsors.
The
STOP resolution is aimed at reversing President Obama's delay of the
employer mandate, enactment of the DREAM Act, extensions for
“substandard” health insurance plans, and ending work requirements for
welfare.
Representative
Jim Gerlach (R-PA) has introduced H.R. 3857, the “Enforce the Take Care
Clause Act” in response to how the President has used his executive
power to selectively apply, enforce, and even ignore duly enacted laws.
The legislation invokes the “Take Care Clause” of the Constitution,
which requires a President to faithfully execute all laws.
Liberty
Counsel Action endorses efforts by Congress to rein in President
Obama’s autocratic rule, but we are also pushing hard for the House to
prepare Articles of Impeachment!
We cannot allow this lawless Executive Branch to take any more ground! We have a duty to call for Articles of Impeachment against President Barack H. Obama.
As I have frequently said, comparing America’s revolutionary times with our own, we are now facing even more oppression than the colonial generation!
We must stand together… or we could lose our liberties for all time!
That’s

have never seen such blatant disregard for the rule of law from a
President of the United States. Even worse, Barack Obama professes to
be trained in constitutional precepts and swore to uphold the
Constitution.
Senator Ted Cruz recently said, “Obama’s disregard for the Constitution threatens the liberty of every American.”
Let’s
seize the momentum in Congress and deliver our sternly written petition
to the elected officials whose job it is to represent the will of
American citizens!

P.S. Left unchecked, Barack Obama will take us over the edge of the “constitutional tipping point” at which we have arrived.
I
believe there is a storm brewing on Capitol Hill and it is being
ushered in by “we, the people,” who are calling for accountability from
our President – and backbone from our elected officials.
We must relentlessly perform our duty as Americans to free ourselves of this “government of one” and stand against the President’s shameless, ongoing power grabs.
