1. Guess What Holiday OFA is Celebrating This December?
Just when you think Team Obama's "everything is an occasion for list-building, fundraising and community organizing" attitude can sink no further, you come across something like this, from Organizing For Action, Obama's tax-exempt political organizing arm that, among other things, runs his Twitter account. Yes, OFA is inviting its members to sign up to hold an organizing event to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the Newtown school shootings.. . . please click here for the rest of the post

2. No, Barack Obama Will Not Fire Anybody Over ObamaCare. Or Anything Else.
Bluntly: this administration has never made Doing The Job Right a priority, and it's too late for them to start now. If Barack Obama had fired people, the Republican party would have seized on it as an admission by the President that he had (gasp!) made a mistake.

This administration has spent the last five years trying to make Barack Obama look like some sort of sacred God-King; perfect, without blemish, no impurities or merely human frailties. There can be no reasonable expectation that the White House is willing, or even capable, of reversing that policy and starting anew. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

3. Macy's Racy Thanksgiving Day Parade
While my hands were covered in butter and bird and my husband was off doing whatever husbands do to avoid cooking on Thanksgiving, my kids were watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. Watching every so often from the kitchen I wondered what happened to all the floats but the kids seemed to be enjoying the music so it worked. Until I heard the announcer say something about kinky boots. To which my four-year old son repeated, "Kinky boots?"

I had no idea what was about to come on but I had a feeling it wasn't going to be in line with the family-friendly programming I thought I was tuning into. Two seconds later my feeling was confirmed when a man dressed as a woman was singing front and center on my television; which was followed up by a parade of women and men dressed in overly sexual clothing and high-heeled thigh-high boots. Ugh. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

4. Dana Milbank makes a case for ignoring him
During George Bush's re-election campaign, the Kerry-Edwards camp constantly floated a rumor that if Bush was re-elected he would reinstitute a draft to provide cannon fodder for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bottom Line: Not only is conscription unnecessary but the costs associated with placing a couple of million eighteen year olds on the public dole each year for no greater reason that to show that you can far exceeds the imaginary benefits of conscription.

But it takes Dana Milbank, the Washington Post's one-man Fifth Column, to bring the stupid to any argument. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
