Obama Admin Breaking the Law Funding Abortions Under Obamacare
Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) appeared
on yesterday’s edition of “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins”
to respond to the on-demand abortions found in Obamacare exchange healthcare
plans in spite of the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funding
of abortion.

“The president made a
promise that he would adhere to the Hyde principle, and that means that
you do not fund even a plan that includes abortion,” said the Representative.
Two-Thirds of Abortions in the United States are Done on Minority
Babies
The abortion
of a child of any ethnicity or color is a tragedy that impacts a whole
nation. But one thing the latest numbers from the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control (CDC) tell us is that abortion continues to exact a particularly
devastating toll on minority communities.
As mentioned in a post from
earlier this week, the CDC annual “Abortion Surveillance” for
2010 found a 3.1% drop in abortions from 2009, on top of a 4.6% drop from
the previous year. The abortion
of a child of any ethnicity or color is a tragedy that impacts a whole
nation. But one thing the latest numbers from the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control (CDC) tell us is that abortion continues to exact a particularly
devastating toll on minority communities.

Mother Gives Birth, Wraps Her Baby in a Towel and Leaves Her to Die
For many Alaskans
it was an unimaginable tragedy. An Eagle River woman allegedly gave birth
to a baby girl, wrapped her in a towel, and left her to die under a bush
in a public park. A resident walking his dog later found the deceased child.
The young woman now finds herself charged with murder and, if convicted,
facing up to 99 years in prison.

the child might have been saved under Alaska’s Safe Haven law that
allows a newborn baby to be left with a staff member at any hospital, fire
or police station or with a medical service provider with no legal repercussions

Group Wanting Personhood for Chimps Allowed Them to be Mistreated
for Lawsuit
I recently posted about the lawsuits that have been filed seeking writs
of habeas corpus for chimpanzees. I promised I would write at greater length.
It just came out.
While researching for my piece, I read the on-line boasting by the Nonhuman Rights Project about how the lawsuits came to be filed at this particular time. And I noticed something very interesting. on my Facebook feed I was intrigued. A few minutes into the video I was holding
back tears.
Pro Infirmis is a Swiss charity
organization for the disabled. They have a beautiful project called, “Because
Who Is Perfect? Get Closer”. For the project they worked with Miss Handicap
2010, Jasmine Rechseiner, actor Erwin Aljukic', radio host Alex Oberholzer,
athlete Urs Kolly and bloggger Nadja Schmid to create mannequins specifically
