In an article published on Monday
that advocates for Common Core standards, the Associated Press presents what
amounts to the typical talking points for supporters when faced with criticism
that Common Core is a federal takeover of education. LINK
“A growing number of teachers say
the national standards, adopted by some 45 states, have combined with pressure
to “teach to the test” to take all individuality out of their craft. Some
teachers told FoxNews.com the new education approach is turning their lessons
into little more than data-dispensing sessions, and they fear their jobs are
being marginalized. “Now teachers aren’t as unique,” said Michael
Warren, a public school history teacher in New Jersey. “It means anyone can do
it. It’s like taking something done by humans and having it done by a
machine.” More and more we are hearing that teachers do not
like Common Core, they feel demeaned by a process that makes them little more
than robots. They are forced to teach what Washington wants, with a
script. Creativity, full discussions, presenting all sides of an issue is
no longer allowed in the process. Only if a teacher is willing to be
honest and teach, not give D.C. propaganda, can education
happen. Teachers are forced to pay bribes to unions if they
want to work. Why are the teachers demanding the unions use their
ownership of the White House and Sacramento to fix the problem? Why aren’t
the unions representing the teachers in their fight to provide quality
education? Isn’t it time the unions do something positive for education
instead of being power unions for the sake of unions. LINK

We know that tens of thousands
have left the pursuit of a job—so Obama no longer counts them as people—he
considers them let a fetus, easily disposed of. We know Obama has been
caught cooking the books to get himself elected in 2012. Now, in order to
lower the manipulated unemployment rate, besides not counting people, government
has hired 41% of those hired in the month of November. Imagine the cost to
the taxpayers.
Wonder if the media will point any
of this foolishness out in articles and op-ed?
“Federal, state and local
governments hired a net additional 338,000 workers in November, equaling 41
percent of the total of 818,000 net additional jobs created in the United States
during the month.
At the same time, the unemployment
rate for government workers fell from 4.4 percent in October to 3.2 percent in
November. (The overall national unemployment rate fell from 7.3 percent to
7.0 percent.)” LINK
Bait and switch is a tactic
used by car dealers and some retailers—it is illegal and folks go to jail for
this felony. But when done by government, it is called Covered California
and expected. Here is how it works. You sign up for government
health care. You are told which doctors, services and hospitals are in
your plan. Then after a few days or weeks Covered California cancels a
service with thousands of doctors like Alameda Alliance. Or if you signed
up for Cigna, at one price you were not told that in early 2014 they are going
to raise the price—and you are stuck. All of this is allowed by
government.
Want bait and switch (you can keep
your doctors if you like them), Obama and his minions would make great used car
salesmen.
“So, consumers can enroll now, but
when the policy comes up for renewal in 12 months, the plans would need to come
into compliance with the ACA — and premiums would almost certainly go up. Plans
could be noncompliant for a variety of reasons, including that they don’t
provide free preventive care or they charge people more if they have a
preexisitng condition.

Benefits & Insurance Associates, says he has “tons of letters” on his desk
from clients who have received notice that their policies were canceled. The
policies they have been offered are “all more expensive and not as good of
