SCOTUS MUST STOP CARD CHECK FOREVER

Dear Conservatives,

On Wednesday, National Right to Work Foundation staff attorney William Messenger went toe-to-toe with a UNITE HERE union lawyer at the United States Supreme Court.

Mulhall v. UNITE HERE Local 355 strikes at the heart of Big Labor's increasingly common Card Check Instant Organizing scheme to obtain monopoly bargaining power over workers without even the limited protection of a secret-ballot vote.

For more on the case, click here or the image below for Fox Business Channel's coverage, including an interview with Martin Mulhall, the independent-minded worker challenging the top-down organizing scheme.

Before we expect to get a ruling in Mulhall, Foundation attorneys will be back at the Supreme Court for oral argument in another case on January 22.

In that case, a group of Illinois in-home care providers are asking the Supreme Court to invalidate a scheme enacted by Governor Pat Quinn and his disgraced predecessor, Rod Blagojevich, aimed at forcing them into union ranks by pretending they are state employees.

The lead plaintiff in the case is Pam Harris, a mother who opposes Big Labor seizing a cut of the stipend she uses to take care of her son with special needs.

Thank you for helping us stand up for workers like Martin Mulhall and mothers like Pam Harris -- and taking their cases all the way to the highest court in the land.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix
