A Blessed Hanukkah
with Thanksgiving to All !!!

He will be succeeded by a contemptible person who has not been given the honor of royalty.
He will invade the kingdom when its people feel secure, and he will seize it through intrigue. (Daniel 11:21)

In 175 BC Antiochus IV Epiphanes came to power in Syria by stealing the throne from his relative, Demetrius II, the young son of Seleucus IV Heliodorus and rightful heir. The original Seleucus was one of the four generals who divided the Greek Empire between them following the death of Alexander the Great. Thus Antiochus Epiphanes became the eighth descendant of Seleucus to sit on the throne of Syria.

Then an overwhelming army will be swept away before him; both it and a prince of the covenant (Onias III) will be destroyed. With a large army he will stir up his strength and courage against the king of the South (Ptolemy VI of Egypt). The king of the South will wage war with a large and very powerful army, but he will not be able to stand because of the plots devised against him. The king of the North (Antiochus) will return to his own country with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant. He will take action against it and then return to his own country. (Daniel 11:22,25,28)

Soon after taking power, on his way to invade Egypt, Antiochus attacked Israel, stealing all the gold and silver furnishings from the Temple. He had Israel’s last legitimate High Priest, Onias III, murdered and from then on the office was sold to the highest bidder, with the money going to Antiochus.

The Birth Of The Sadducees

He began to “Hellenize” Israel and before long many of the wealthy and influential among the Israelites adopted the Greek style of dress, cutting their hair short and shaving off their beards as well. They also argued for a blending of Greek philosophy and culture into the Jewish way of life. From these advocates of Greek thinking, the political party known as the Sadducees was born, eventually growing to a position of prominence during the time of Jesus. It was the influence of Greek philosophy on their approach to the Hebrew Scriptures that blinded the ruling Sadducees to the fact that Messianic Prophecies were being fulfilled right before their eyes during the Lord’s life on Earth.

“At the appointed time he will invade the South again, but this time the outcome will be different from what it was before. Ships of the western coastlands will oppose him, and he will lose heart. Then he will turn back and vent his fury against the holy covenant. He will return and show favor to those who forsake the holy covenant. (Daniel 11:29-30)

Initially, this accommodation with Greek culture encountered only vocal resistance, but that all changed when the Egyptians rebelled and, with the aid of the Roman Navy, defeated Antiochus and drove him from Egypt. In a rage, Antiochus again invaded Israel, this time demanding that he be worshiped as God. (The name “Epiphanes” comes from a title he gave himself, “theos epiphanies” or god made manifest. After this the Jews started calling him “Epimanes” which means the madman.) He outlawed the reading of the Hebrew Scripture, punishing by death anyone found with copies in their possession. Circumcision, praying, keeping the Sabbath, and worshiping the One True God were likewise proscribed with severe penalties for disobedience.

“His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him. (Daniel 11:31-32)

Put The Hammer Down

In 168 BC Antiochus again broke into the Temple, converting it into a pagan worship center in honor of the Greek god Zeus (called Jupiter in Roman mythology). Instead of the blood of bulls and goats, he sprinkled water in which pork had been boiled in the Holy of Holies, and slaughtered pigs on the altar. Then he erected a statue of Zeus in the Holy Place, with his own face on it, thereby proclaiming himself to be God. Because it rendered the Temple unfit for worshiping God, Jewish historians called this act the Abomination that Causes Desolation, the only event in history so named. It triggered the Maccabean Revolt.

For 3 1/2 years the Jews fought one of the world’s first guerrilla wars under Judeus Maccabeus (Judah the Hammer) finally defeating the Syrians in 165 BC. Upon regaining the Temple, they smashed the polluted altar and the statue of Zeus, grinding both to powder, and then built a new altar from uncut stones.

Next they set out to cleanse the Temple and re-dedicate it to God, an eight-day process (2 Chron. 29:17). But they could only find enough sacred oil to light the Menorah (the 7-branched lamp stand in the Holy Place) for one day, and the law required that it be lit constantly. Because the preparation of sacred oil was a time consuming process, they decided not to wait, but to use the oil they had to light the Menorah immediately, trusting that God would find this acceptable. God was pleased and made the oil last for the full eight days until the new supply was ready and the re-dedication complete.

Eight Is Enough

Those who study the symbolic use of numbers in Scripture know that eight is the number of New Beginnings, and indeed the Maccabean victory over the Syrians ushered in a new era, known as the Hasmonean Dynasty. During much of this period, which lasted till about 64 BC, Judea, as Israel was known at the time, enjoyed independent nation status, having finally won their freedom from Syria in 142 BC.  Following other Hasmonean victories, the Jews regained boundaries that nearly approximated those of Solomon’s time. Jewish rule was exercised throughout the expanded nation and Jewish life flourished once again. A New Beginning for the Children of Israel.

The Feast Of Dedication

The miraculous burning of the oil is still celebrated in the eight-day Feast of Hanukkah, from the Hebrew word meaning dedication. It’s also called the Festival of Lights and this year begins at sunset on December 8 on our calendar.

To celebrate Hanukkah, a special 9-branched candelabra is used, with eight branches commemorating the eight days when the oil kept burning. The ninth branch, called the Shamash, is usually positioned above the other eight. Its candle is always lit first and then used to light the other candles, one each day, until on the eighth day of Hanukkah all are lit. The Hebrew word Shamash means servant, so the Shamash is the servant candle that’s raised up and gives light to all the others.

Incredibly, the Hanukkia, or Hanukkah candelabra, becomes a beautiful model of the Messiah and His church. It was the Lord Jesus, the obedient servant, who was raised up (John 3:12) and gives light to all others (John 8:12). For the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve. (Mark 10:45)

If you’ve read our studies on the Lord’s probable birth date, you know I believe He was conceived during the Feast of Hanukkah and that His life, like all others, began at conception. If so, the Hanukkia is a fitting reminder that the Light of the World arrived during the Festival of Lights, ushering in a New Beginning for all mankind.

History To Prophecy

We know that the Levitical Feasts of Israel have both a historical and a prophetic fulfillment. For example, Passover commemorated the Jews’ freedom from bondage in Egypt and looked forward to the Messiah freeing us all from the bondage of our sins. The prophetic aspect of the Spring Feasts were fulfilled in the Lord’s 1st Coming, the summer time Feast of Pentecost commemorated the giving of the Law and was fulfilled in the Church, and the Fall Feasts commemorated God’s dwelling among them and will be fulfilled in the 2nd Coming. Hanukkah is not a Levitical Feast but I think it has an important prophetic fulfillment like the others.

In reviewing the history of Hanukkah, I’m sure you spotted the similarity to events yet future to us. One day soon a man will arrive on the world scene. He’ll become very powerful very quickly, assuming a leadership position that’s not rightfully his. Many will give their loyalty to him and he’ll conquer most of the world. Even in Israel, many will favor accommodation with him, some even thinking he might be the Messiah. (John 5:43)

But then he’ll stand in the Holy place and declare that He’s God. (2 Thes. 2:4) Another Antiochus Epiphanes. He’ll have a statue of himself erected and put in the Holy Place to be worshiped. (Rev. 13:14) Another Abomination of Desolation, the one Jesus warned about in Matt. 24:15.  Just like his predecessor he’ll demand to be worshiped as God on pain of death, and make everyone swear a pledge of loyalty to him.  He’ll put a stop to the recently instituted Temple sacrifice (Dan. 9:27) and try to erase every trace of the legitimate God from the world. He’ll wage war against those who oppose him, but they’ll fight back in another war of resistance. After 3 ½ years he’ll be defeated (Dan. 12:7) and the defiled Temple will be cleansed and made ready for use again during the Millennium. Another Feast of Dedication. And Israel will again experience a period of untold peace and prosperity, expanding fully to its originally promised dimensions. Jewish rule will be exercised throughout the expanded nation and Jewish life will flourish once again. (Isaiah 65:17-25) Another New Beginning for the Children of Israel and for all the world. It is not the 1776 founders of whom we are all familiar with but rather the 1600 era Pilgrim and Puritan founders who
truly laid the foundation for this notion that this land is to be a place of freedom, tolerance, and harmony.  This was
expressed by the leaders of our first colonial settlers’ in the Mayflower Compact. The Puritan governor of the
Massachusetts Bay colony John Winthrop first expressed the notion of American exceptionalism in penning a
sermon aboard the tall ship Arbella bound for this new land.  Drawing from the Sermon on the Mount and the
parable of Salt and Light, Winthrop called upon his fellow puritans to lead a life worthy of their calling in this new land.

Greetings and blessings to you all. 
Although this past year has been one of great disappointment, disharmony, and disunion with
the princes and principalities that lord over us there is reason to be thankful at this time. 
We can take comfort in the fact that we are governed not by worldly leaders but by a sovereign
God who is in control.  We must always remember this and submit to His authority.

Let us take a moment to remember the true meaning of Thanksgiving and let that be the impetus to renew and restore our vigor.  Thanksgiving is the first truly American experience that sets forth and affirms the blessings by our Lord God Almighty in the new worldly experiment of America.  Driven by God’s providence and grace, our country’s founding fathers fully established the role of a divine being in their seeking to establish a place where they could fully live their lives in obedience to His plan.  It is not the 1776 founders of whom we are all familiar with but rather the 1600 era Pilgrim and Puritan founders who truly laid the foundation for this notion that this land is to be a place of freedom, tolerance, and harmony.  This was expressed by the leaders of our first colonial settlers’ in the Mayflower Compact.

Perhaps no other custom so clearly reveals this nation’s original character as that of Thanksgiving Day. Other nations have adopted similar observances, but America was the first to nationally recognize its dependence on God with a special day set aside to thank Him for all His many blessings.

While the exact date of the first American Thanksgiving observance is debatable, there is no doubt this custom sprang from the shared Judeo-Christian heritage of those early pilgrims. From early Spanish expeditions in the late 1500s to the Popham Colony in Maine in 1607, each group publically declared their thanks to the God of the Bible. Twelve years later, settlers in Virginia declared a day of thanksgiving for their survival on the shores of this then uncharted land. And in 1623, Governor William Bradford of Plymouth Colony established the most famous of all such observances when a bountiful harvest prompted him to proclaim a special day to “render thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings.”¹

During the War of Independence from England, the U.S. Continental Congress set aside a day for thanksgiving and praise for the decisive victory at Saratoga in 1777, marking the first time that all American colonies took part in such an event on the same day. The following year at Valley Forge, George Washington declared a special day of thanksgiving upon receiving news that France would provide aid to our cause. And later, as the young nation’s first president, he responded to a congressional petition by declaring Thursday, November 26, 1789, as the first Thanksgiving Day of the United States of America.

Many state and national days of thanksgivings have been proclaimed since that first Thanksgiving declaration. But it was the tireless crusade of Sarah Josepha Hale that finally led to the establishment of this beautiful observance as a national American holiday. Her moving letters so touched the heart of Abraham Lincoln that in 1863—in the midst of the horrors of the Civil War—he urged his countrymen to be mindful of their many blessings, that they are “the gracious gifts of the Most High God” who ought to be thanked “with one heart and one voice, by the whole American People.”²

Of course, giving thanks to God is certainly not an exclusive American convention—it was first commanded of Christian believers many thousands of years before. Paul wrote, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Notice that the charge was not to give thanks for everything—rather, we are to give thanks in everything. Good or bad, right or wrong, be thankful in everything!
Our American forebears knew this well.

As referenced above, our First Continental Congress in 1777 put forth our first proclamation of Thanksgiving.  These words still resonate within the hearts of many of us today.  It is altogether fitting to read them once again and remind ourselves at this time of such uncertainty and strife that we stand on the shoulders of giants.  In our eternal battle against the forces of evil we must steel our resolve and remain ever vigilant.  It was so readily apparent with this latest election that we have so much work that needs to be done to restore our republic and its Judeo/Christian heritage and to awaken our Christian faith leaders and their flocks to their biblical responsibility to be Salt and Light and Watchmen on the Wall.  We will continue in our fight for the restoration of a moral and upright society that once again celebrates its heritage and identity.  We wish for you all a most joyous Thanksgiving and that when you assemble with family and friends that you take pause to give thanks to the eternal Provider and consecrate yourselves to His service.  Pray for revival.

PROCLAMATION

PRESIDENTIAL THEFT - A BIRTH CERTIFICATE THAT NEVER WAS

 

Background: I am 80 years old with a high-school education and 62 years of a "life" school education.
Fortified by my Faith I humbly submit the below narrative as factual and, more importantly, trustful.

 

"No person except a natural-born citizen or a citizen of the United States at the

 time of the adoption of this Constitution shall be eligible to the office of President.."

Article II, Section I,U.S.Constitution.

 

     Four years ago, I received an e-mail from Israel, stating that Barack Obama's birth certificate appeared to be a fraudulent document. Four years later, after exhaustive research it is clear the document which he used in 2008 to deceive America into believing he was a "natural-born" American citizen was a fraudulent creation of a limited document, a Certification of Live Birth(COLB), not a Certificate of Live Birth, the valid document for anyone claiming Presidential eligibility. Obama, a former Constitutional teacher, knew he was not eligible to seek the Presidency yet deliberately deceived America, usurping our Constitution.

 

     As a Catholic, I could not, in good conscience, vote for him, a man who found no problem if a woman chose to abort a child and, also, if that child survived the abortion, left it to die with no life-saving efforts made to save it. Moral conscience, not facial color, drove me to pursue the "eligibility" issue.

 

OATH TAKING IS A SERIOUS MATTER-I SWEAR IT 

     Barack Obama acts not as a servant of the People but as their master. Never "vetted" ,I repeat,,never "vetted" but simply declared eligible for the Presidency by the Democratic Party, he has fought anyone questioning his eligibility, as for example: those protesting his use of a fraudulent, invalid COLB; an Army Officer, Lt. Colonel Terrence Lakin, a Bronze Star recipient and leading flight surgeon charges with caring for the Chief-of-Staff's pilots and air crews, who twice wrote Obama(ignored), asking him to clarify his status, a status now being challenged nationwide by millions; Obama's silence hastened a court-martial for refusing to accept a second military mid-east assignment until Obama responded to his requests, resulting in a dishonorable discharge, loss of all pay and benefits and imprisonment; also, Obama's attorneys fought against various court actions in which subpoenas ordering him to appear in court with a valid birth certificate were ignored and/or flatly refused by him. The Democratic Party, to its everlasting shame, failed to insist that he provide documentation confirming his eligibility, which might mend, one way or another, a divided Nation. Instead, it ridicules and dismisses all who dare question Obama's eligibility, even going as far as to claim "racial intolerance" as motivating the questioners. I wonder if Herman Cain, Alan Keyes,etc. are included in their condemnation. Shameful, too, the conduct of the Republican Party, many of whom, along with Democratic counterparts considered the "legitimacy issue" as "insignificant". Thank God there was no TV at Lexington, Concord or Valley Forge or the resolve of the Continental Army might not have survived after hearing such supporters. Ironically, Obama himself considered the issue so significant that after initially keeping his records secret(until public pressure for "transparency" prevailed) he allowed his fraudulent COLB to pass for a valid "Certificate of Live Birth" to deceive America. Only in 2011, when States began insisting on seeing a valid Certificate of Live Birth before the 2012 election did Obama, realizing his COLB would no longer pass scrutiny now come up with a new document, a supposed copy of a long-form Certificate of Live Birth, which he posted on a government website but would not allow the Hawaiian Dept.of Health to release their "supposed" copy for public scrutiny and verification. Was it because there are so many birth certificates in his hospital files that finding an appropriate one for the occasion would be too time-consuming? Or, if one was located which perfectly matched Obama's recently "found" long-form Certificate of Live Birth, it would make both fraudulent. Since he was now allowing his long-form copy to be viewed(from afar) by the Public there would be only two reasons to conceal the Dept.of Health copy from America. The first would be that by concealing it no one could compare it to his fraudulent copy. The second reason....the Dept.of Health has no such document. Either way, Obama's deception would be unmasked. Coincidentally, there are Democratic representatives currently trying to have a resolution passed which would permanently seal all Obama's Presidential records from the Public eye. Do we need a house to fall on us to understand his desperate efforts for secrecy?

 

THE PLOT "SICKENS" 

     Months ago, Hawaiian Governor Neil Abercrombie stated he personally knew the Obama family, was certain of his eligibility and would prove it with a copy of the Health Dept. birth certificate. A few days later, he had to admit that nothing could be found to confirm Obama's birth in Hawaii; nothing except an obscure file containing some birth names, including the name of a Barack Obama; no "Certificate of Live Birth" or even a "Certification of Live Birth"COLB), the same document which Obama claimed matched his Daily Kos posting. How does one photocopy a non-existing document? The Governor's fruitless search contradicted Obama's claim of having provided proof of his status. No problem-the White House simply announced that they had now received another document, entitled "Certificate of Live Birth" from the Hawaiian Dept.of Health, bearing more details than previously disclosed. Where was this document for over two and one-half years while people were requesting it and having his COLB waived in their faces in response? Was it lost until the Governor stated that Hawaii had no record of it and then conveniently found after he returned to his office, or, was it, as more and more computer experts declared, another fraudulent document as was his COLB previously posted on the Daily Kos site? I must pause to congratulate Gov.Abercrombie for his candid admission that no actual birth certificate of any kind was located.

 

A LITANY OF LIES

     In May, 2011, Obama claimed the Hawaiian Health Dept had "located" his long-form "Certificate of Live Birth". General Colin Powell(ret.) then told South Carolina University graduates that he "particularly enjoyed when President Obama took out his birth certificate copy and blew away Donald Trump and all the birthers." What an insulting and uninformed remark. What Obama actually "took out" was his fraudulent "Certificate of Live Birth", a document previously unmentioned, unseen and never before offered as proof of his eligibility. Remember, in 2008, he said his COLB matched the Health Dept.copy, which would make both COLB'S and therefore, both ineligible. Now he claims his newly found long-form certificate also matches the Health Dept. copy, a clear contradiction and physical impossibility. Two fraudulent birth certificates do not add up to a legitimate one. Since his 2011 copy was also branded fraudulent by experts,he no longer allows anyone to examine the Health Dept. document (if any). This includes General Powell, whose blind acceptance of Obama's copy was followed with ignoring an offer of the "Birthers Summit" organization of $15,000 for allowing them three hours to challenge Obama's 2011 claim and hear the General's response.

 

     John Jay convinced George Washington to include in The Constitution (Article II) a provision limiting the Presidency and Vice-Presidency to natural-born American citizens, so no one with a dual-nationality or other foreign allegiance could adversely influence the office of President, a requirement casually ignored by many in today's political arena. By deliberately withholding access to virtually every document bearing his name plus criminally offering a false COLB and a more recent false "Certificate of Live Birth", Obama has cloaked his eligibility in secrecy. What Jay feared has come to pass! Recently, on National TV, America accidentally overheard Obama telling his subordinates to "find a way around The Constitution", this from a man who, when inaugurated, swore under oath to defend it. Deception, with a Capital D.

 

     Here are more shining examples of Obama's "transparency":Globe Magazine offered him $100,000 to help African-American students meet tuition expenses if he would produce a valid birth certificate. Obama did not even give Globe the courtesy of a reply....and the students received nothing; Again-Donald Trump recently offered Obama $5,000,000 (that's five million dollars) for charities of his choice if he would produce a valid birth certificate for public scrutiny, but, as in Globe's offer, Obama did not answer Mr.Trump. Truly, a guilty conscience needs no accuser. Its actions alone convict it.

 

WHAT THE MAJOR MEDIA 'FORGOT' TO REPORT

     Obama's family was divided between two different hospitals of Obama's birth. These counter-claims were later amended to one hospital. By the hospitals? No....by Obama simply informing Kapi'olani Hospital that it was his birth place. Not only did Kapi"olani not confirm this but no hospital, I repeat, no Hawaiian hospital to date will confirm his birth in their facility!  One would expect the birth hospital of the first black American President would proudly display or acknowledge such an auspicious event but none have. Racist hospitals? Who dares to so infer?

 

       Sheriff Arpaio of Arizona sent a special task force to Hawaii on their own time and expense to verify Obama's status and concluded that his birth documents were fraudulent yet Media representatives attending the presentations of their findings were only interested in questioning his team's motives for pursuing this issue, not the issue itself.

 

         Lt.Colonel Terrence Lakin was told by the General conducting his court-martial that he could not introduce anything which "might embarass the President" into his court-martial defense. Too bad someone in the Media didn't pass on to the General these words spoken by Obama in Aug,2010 (Newsday-New York newspaper): "The only people who don't want to disclose the truth are those with something to hide."  If they had, Lt.Col.Lakin would have walked out of that courtroom an innocent man with a Nation's thanks for upholding his oath, but, due to the secrecy of Obama and the Media he didn't.

 

          In the history of our Nation, only one Commander-in-Chief has deliberately concealed the existence (or non-existence) of a valid "Certificate of Live Birth". His name....Barack Obama!. A man whose national allegiance is unknown to the American People is governing us and our military, determining our future survival (or demise) yet that fact is quietly kept secret by MSNBC,fOX,CNN,etc. Only Organizations like World Net Daily and a few others, to their credit, have carried these stories. Not one major media outlet offers a legitimate argument in defense of Obama. When responding to challengers questions silence, sarcasm or suppression represents their  position.

 

NO STANDING

            The above phrase, "no standing" has become a mantra for dismissing approx.100 legal challenges to Barack Obama's Presidential eligibility. How many citizens must be affected before "standing" is acknowledged? During the Revolutionary War a British major, John Andre, was stopped by a few Continental Army sentries, searched and found with a secret diagram of West Point's defenses which he was taking back to the British lines. Imagine if an American judge had then ruled that a few sentries didn't constitute a sufficient quantity with "standing" to warrant indicting Major Andre as a spy and, therefore, the incriminating diagram could not be admitted into a courtroom! Had that happened we might have lost a fort and possibly a war. Today, however, with an ineligible man in the White House, we now face losing an entire Nation!

 

             Some politicians speak of Obama's fraudulent actions in seizing the Presidency as "dead" issues when, in fact, he is killing our Republic. The last I knew there was no "statute of limitation" for murder.

 

IN CLOSING

 I pray that America will realize Obama, by his actions and intentions, is undermining our Faiths, our Constitution and our Country. Please contact your elected representatives and voice your concern for Truth and Justice. Let the election boards of every State know that if they certify Obama as legitimately being re-elected they will be condoning his deception for the second time. There is an old but true proverb: "Better late than never but better never late."

Sadly, we are already late and it's not getting any better.
We must recover our Country from the man who stole it with a birth certificate that never was !
