SARASOTA HERALD-TRIBUNE GETS IT WRONG ON FL REP. BUCHANAN’S TOWN HALL MEETING

newspaper, like the Sarasota Herald-Tribune (SH-T), considers fit to
print is required reading. Notice, I said “required” not “reliable.”SH-T writer, Tom Lyons, recently wrote a column titled “What did Buchanan have scheduled on Sunday?“. Lyons criticized Congressman Vern Buchanan (R-FL District 16), for holding a town hall meeting on Saturday, September 14th, which was Yom Kippur (the Jewish Day of Atonement). The purpose of the town hall was to hear from District 16 constituents about the President’s imminent planned military attack against Syria.
Congressman Buchanan began his town hall meeting by recognizing that it was Yom Kippur. He apologized that the meeting was on Saturday, but said he considered it imperative to listen his constituents and ask their opinion on an issue as important as going to war in the Middle East ...
