CHRIS CHRISTIE DEFYING GOD'S WORD!

September 2, 2013 TPATH - Just when you think elected officials can’t get anymore arrogant than they already are, along comes Chris Christie to prove you wrong.
For well over 3,000 years by anyone’s reckoning, Moses
has been known as the lawmaker and is widely accepted as being the
author of the first five books of the Old Testament. The 10
Commandments he received directly from God have served as the
fundamental basis for law and the accepted moral code throughout the
ages.
However, the 10 Commandments weren’t the only instructions for
righteous living that Moses wrote about. There were others. Most
noteworthy would be the Books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus.
In these Books, Moses listed common practices that God considered an
abomination as well as the punishments that were just in the eyes of
God. Many of the abominations were about idol worship, witchcraft,
homosexuality, cross-dressing and various other aspects of living.
Between the 10 Commandments and the abominations covered in the Good
Book, we have come to understand sin.
Moses wasn’t the only one to write about sin. In the New Testament,
the Apostle Paul wrote about immorality and sin according to God’s
standards in 1 Cor. 6:9 and again in Romans 1:26-27. Both these passages centered on homosexuality.
Now to be clear, an abomination is biblically defined not only as a sin, but as something God finds: abhorrent, offensive, extremely disgusting, hateful, debased, impure, filthy, unclean, and foul-smelling.
In the Book of Romans, the Apostle Paul goes further and states that
because of these practices, they have received in themselves the penalty
of their error which was due. We need to understand that it is not the
temptation of sin or our proclivity to it that is an abomination to God
because we are all sinners; it is the practice of sin that receives the
penalty. Today we can identify these penalties as sexually transmitted
diseases, with AIDS specifically fulfilling what the Apostle wrote
about in verse 27. These are NOT my words; they are the Apostle Paul’s.
Chapter 2 of Romans goes on to condemn in rather strong language those
who do not judge according to God’s truth and accept these
abominations.
Today we have a many in public office that don’t want to offend
anyone and so they make judgments according to what they think is right
as opposed to what God tells us is right. It is unfortunate for them
that while they do their best to please the masses, they are offending
someone - God. Some may do this because they think they know better
than God and some may do so out of fear of losing votes. One can only
guess at why Governor Christie decided he knows better than God about
what is and is not a sin, but he announced to the world that
homosexuality is not a sin. He went further and also imposed his will
over that of parents’ when he made it illegal for parents to get help
for their children that may be confused about their sexuality. Either
God reconsidered what constitutes sin and decided to correct Himself
through Chris Christie, or perhaps the Pope enlightened the Governor
(since he claims to be a Catholic); or maybe Governor Christie thinks he
knows better than God, the Pope, and better than any parent in New
Jersey that may want to have their children counseled regarding
sexuality.
Proverbs 27:25 tells us that the fear of man is a snare (a trap).
Chris Christie, and his Jersey Boy persona may be appealing to some,
but when you get right down to it, he has a tendency to buckle under
pressure whether it be to the NJ Supreme Court in the Abbott decision
challenge or in this case perhaps the homosexual lobby. It is possible
that he is doing this out of the fear of losing a few votes, or maybe
he just doesn’t know or care about what a sin is or isn’t.
By the way, we are also told something else in Proverbs:27, we are
told that “An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, and he who
is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.”
So
there you have it, not only are there sins that are an abomination to
God, but those who are righteous are an abomination to the sinners.
That just about sums up the politically correct speech that seeks to
oppress the righteous and silence the truths of God. You really can’t
have it both ways, either you will be an abomination to the unrighteous
or you will be an abomination to God. Governor Christie, my heart
grieves for you. The righteous aren’t the only ones watching - so is
God.
