NO, THE GERMANS DID NOT BOMB PEARL HARBOR

Sorry to confuse a few of you who did not see the famous “Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?” scene featuring the late comedian John Belushi in the 1980s movie “Animal House.”

Believe me, I know full well that it was the Japanese who bombed Pearl Harbor, just as I know it was General Custer who won the Battle of the Bulge.

DELAY OBAMACARE LETTER

Our joint citizen letter to Nevada’s congressional delegation urging the House to not only delay the implementation of both the employer and individual mandates in ObamaCare, but to fully defund and repeal the law, was delivered to Reps. Joe Heck, Mark Amodei, Dina Titus and Steven Horsford today.

CONSERVATIVE FIRST

I get this all the time: “Why don’t you pick on Democrats instead of Republicans?”

Here’s the short answer: I expect Democrats to vote for higher taxes and bigger government; I expect better out of Republicans. 

When a Republican betrays their own party’s conservative principles and platform in a significant way, they lose any expectation of support.

It’s the job of the Republican Party to elect more Republicans.  It’s the job of conservatives to elect more conservatives. 

I’m a conservative first; Republican distant second.

They have their goals; I have mine.

Sometimes we'll be supporting the same candidates; sometimes not.
