20 Basic Truths You Can’t Talk About in America Anymore

By John Hawkins

1) People who want to change sexes should be treated by a psychologist, not deformed through surgery, given hormone treatments, and falsely told that they can change sexes.
2) Most people who remain poor over the long haul in America stay that way because of their own poor life choices.

3) Most black Americans are good and decent people, but percentage wise there are more black Americans in jail because percentage wise, black Americans commit a lot more crimes than white Americans.

4) As often as not in America, the people claiming to be “victims” are the real bullies and they don’t deserve anyone’s sympathy.

Understanding Liberals and Progressives -- Walter Williams

In order to understand the liberal and progressive agenda, one must know something about their world vision and values. Let’s examine some of the evidence.

Why the 1970s struggle to ban DDT? Alexander King, founder of the Malthusian Club of Rome, wrote in a 1990 biographical essay: “My own doubts came when DDT was introduced for civilian use. In Guyana, within two years, it had almost eliminated malaria, but at the same time the birth rate had doubled. So my chief quarrel with DDT, in hindsight, is that it has greatly added to the population problem.”

Dr. Charles Wurster, former chief scientist for the Environmental Defense Fund, was once asked whether he thought a ban on DDT would result in the use of more dangerous chemicals and more malaria cases in Sri Lanka. He replied: “Probably. So what? People are the cause of all the problems. We have too many of them. We need to get rid of some of them, and (malaria) is as good a way as any.”

5 Lies the Democrats Told To Sell Obamacare -- John Hawkins
When the Democrats were trying to sell Obamacare to the public, they told us that because of Barack Obama’s magical health care elixir, Americans are going to live forever, in perfect health for free while unicorns will tote them back and forth to magical fairy doctors who will cure all their ills with pixie dust. Obamacare is going to be superior to the current health care system in every way and anything people heard to the contrary was obviously a lie cooked up by Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and the Tea Party to hurt poor people.

It sounded great.

Of course, it also sounds great when a Nigerian prince offers to give you millions of dollars to help him get money into the United States. Unfortunately, those Nigerian princes with the funny names won’t make you any richer, just as Presidents with funny names won’t improve your health care. They’ll just tell you lies like these.
Valedictorian Defies School District’s Order And Delivers the Lord’s Prayer At Graduation -- John Hawkins
We don’t know who actually first said, “One man with courage makes a majority,” but it certainly does apply to high school student Roy Costner IV, who spoke up on behalf of God at Liberty High School in South Carolina.

Roy Costner IV, a former public school student from South Carolina, stunned the audience at his high school graduation last weekend when he ripped up his previously-approved valedictorian speech, going on, instead, to speak about God — and then deliver the Lord’s prayer.
The act, which drew loud applause, was taken in opposition to the School District of Pickens County’s decision to axe prayers from graduation events, Christian News reports. Officials said that they had recently received complaints from atheist activists and church-state separatists, leading to the removal of invocations from all school events.
But that didn’t stop Costner.

Abstract Immigrants -- Thomas Sowell
One of the many sad signs of our times is the way current immigration issues are discussed. A hundred years ago, the immigration controversies of that era were discussed in the context of innumerable facts about particular immigrant groups. Many of those facts were published in a huge, multi-volume 1911 study by a commission headed by Senator William P. Dillingham.

That and other studies of the time presented hard data on such things as which groups’ children were doing well in school and which were not; which groups had high crime rates or high rates of alcoholism, and which groups were over-represented among people living on the dole.

Interviewing Mark Krikorian On The Rubio/McCain/Obama Amnesty Bill -- John Hawkins
Mark Krikorian from National Review and the Center for Immigration Studies is one of the smartest, most trustworthy people on the Right when it comes to illegal immigration. He knows exactly what’s happening, backwards and forward and that’s why I wanted to interview him about the Rubio/McCain/Obama amnesty bill that’s making its way through the Senate right now.
What follows is a slightly edited transcript of our conversation.

How do you think we’re looking on this bill? What are you hearing? Are we on track to beat this thing or not?
Cheers,
John Hawkins
