IMMIGRATION BILL FLAWED BEYOND BELIEF!

Fellow Conservatives:

The Senate will vote next week on whether to consider the Gang of Eight immigration reform bill, which grants instant amnesty to 11 million immigrants who unlawfully entered the country.

This legislation is deeply flawed and it must be stopped.

U.S. Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) wrote a letter to their colleagues outlining the following problems with the 1,000-plus page bill:

  • Provides immediate legalization without securing the border
  • Rewards criminal aliens, absconders, and deportees and undermines law enforcement
  • Contains extremely dangerous national security loopholes
  • Facilitates fraud in our immigration system
  • Creates no real penalties for illegal immigrants and rewards them with entitlements
  • Delays for years the implementation of E-Verify
  • Does not fix our legal immigration system
  • Advanced through a process predicated on a deal struck before markup
  • Rewards those who have broken our laws by offering a special path to citizenship
Unfortunately, many Republicans seem unwilling to block the bill from coming to the floor. They either support amnesty or mistakenly believe they can work with Barack Obama and Harry Reid to fix it.

Now is the time for conservatives to stand up and oppose this bill.

TAKE ACTION: Tell your senators to oppose the new amnesty plan.

Also, call Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and tell his office that you expect him to stop this bill. He's the Republican Leader and he -- more than anyone else -- has the power to defeat it.

Senator McConnell voted for amnesty in 1986, which is one of the reasons why we have 11 million illegal immigrants today. Instead of recognizing his mistake, he has made positive comments about the new amnesty plan and tried to help Harry Reid bring it to the Senate floor.

Call Senator McConnell at (202) 224-2541.

We will keep you updated as this debate progresses. Thank you for standing strong for freedom.
